I pulled out the dagger from my back as I tried to stand up, I stood in front of his majesty like a body shield as the ghost lord charged at us without him seeing, I pushed the dagger right through his heart and he collapsed to the ground. I felt dizzy like everything was coming up towards my face but I held on, I couldn't faint no matter what. "Are you okay?" He looked at me troubled again and then nodded his head slowly, he touched my face gently. "Why did you do that?" He asked, his troubled look still in place. " Something's don't need a reason to be done but you always protect the world, who protects you?" I coughed up. He lifted the shield and flew us down, he was looking at me strangely different emotions flashing through his eyes but confusion was the most dominant one, I looked for my uncle and we left before anyone else could notice me. When we got into Uncle's groove he was yelling and cursing but still nursed my wound. "Xiaojiu what happened to not putting yourself in danger? Do you realise how worse this thing is."  I coughed my chest feeling wheezy. "He was going to die." I said softly and for the first time since we got back he looked at me. " Are you in love with him?" I chose not to answer but he took my silence as confirmation. " That's not a wise thing, you will get your heart broken, get sombe sleep." He said sadly and he left the room as drifted to the inviting darkness.

Dong Hua

As we came down and I  watched her being taken away by her uncle my heart was not at peace, I've had this feeling with me ever since she danced for me under the moonlight. I've met many goddesses and I've seen many but I have never seen something like that, I've saved many goddesses and they all come to the palace under the repayment facade only for them to fall in love with me and beg to stay by my side but for all the wrong reasons. Bai Fengjiu is in love with me I could see that but like the many I thought eventually she would get tired and give up, but she hasn't yet after today my heart is in turmoil. No one has ever done what she did for me let alone think of doing something like that, although it was dangerous she didn't think about it and just threw herself in front of me, it's like my soul had flew out of my body for the first time I felt afraid for her life. Yang Yang came to dress my wounds and he was brooding. "What's wrong?" I asked, he bowed and looked at me. " Nothing your majesty." His eyes said something different than his mouth, he dressed my wounds  when he was about to live I had asked. "How is Bai Fengjiu?" For a second he seemed surprised but the recovered quickly. "I have no idea your majesty when I went to the fox cave Zhe Yan had said she left." Reckless! Yang Yang left and I sat there wondering into space, after awhile a fairy maid came to carrying a red fox. "Your majesty." She bowed. " I found this little fox outside your palace door." I looked at it, oh nine-tailed-red-fox that's rare to see but I was happy nonetheless, I took the fox from her arms and pet it while wondering where could the fox princess be.

I woke up feeling better but I was really worried about the his majesty and I wanted to see how he was doing, I snuck out of the peach groove and transformed into my fox form, I promised myself I would be in and out but when the fairy maid took me inside the palace and he carried me into his arms I didn't want to leave, I wanted to stay with him. He looked a bit better than what I originally saw but he was still exhausted, the troubled look was still on his face  but more so he looked like he was calculating something, I wanted to get rid of the frown lines on his beautiful face and so I licked his face. A beautiful dazzling smile touched his lips and it stayed there for a couple of minutes. "Such a naughty fox, are you ready to have my children." I froze in his arms no that can't be! He then laughed out loud and i realised he was teasing me, Yang Yang walked and he choked on his saliva when he saw me in his arms, he couldn't keep his eyes off me and for a second I was worried that Yang Yang may blow my cover. He cleared his face and stopped in front of his majesty. "Your majesty." He bowed, "She's here." She? Who's she? His majesty gets up from the chair and walked towards the door, a beautiful goddess in mint green was kneeling by the door. "Rise." She uncovered her face and smiled at him, I knew her smile all to well because I also had it only mine wasn't seen. The smile of love, they walked back together and Yang Yang was preparing refreshments. "You're early." He commented while rubbing my belly. " I-I wanted to get used to staying with you." She answered gently and I stopped moving. "Oh?" He said again, "I know the wedding is in a month but I wanted to spend sometime with you." I flipped around looking at Yang Yang and his eyes were sad.  "Your parents must be anxious." He said again this time looking at Yang Yang. "Prepare the western wing for her, that's where she will stay." I blink away the tears that are threatening to fall, how stupid can I be. "Wouldn't it be better if we lived together?" She batted her eyelashes and I wanted to rip them off. "Tell me would you put yourself in danger for my sake." The question caught her off guard like it did to me, "What do you mean your majesty." You could tell the question was making her feel uneasy, like a test question that you're supposed to know the answer too and it's something you should get right or you lose marks. "If I was fighting and from where you can see, you see that I'm in danger what would do?" Then I realised his referring to what happened earlier today, she took a deep breath and smiled. "I'd call for help." Even I could hear the disappointing answer. "You wouldn't come fight with me?" His voice had dropped and it seemed colder even I was shivering. "Your majesty aren't you afraid we would both die?"  Sipping the tea seductively while staring into his eyes. " Even in a bad situation you'd still think about putting yourself first." He stated but she wouldn't shut up. " Of course, besides nothing could ever happen to you, you'll always be there to protect me." I rolled my eyes and then I coughed, darn it! Time to take my medicine. "Why did you ask such a strange question your majesty." She batted her eyelashes again. "Something's don't need a reason why... Besides you protect the world but who protects you." He whispered the last part, why is he thinking about this. "Can I hold him." Her voice interrupted. "Him?" His majesty asked, "The fox." She stated and I wanted to laughed, she thinks I'm a male fox how pretty must I be. "She, she's a girl not a boy." He corrected her, she smiled sweetly. "My mistake, may I hold her?" I was preparing to make a run for it but he refused, she eyed me evilly and I knew I already had an enemy.
