XiaoBai

Chapter Six

Time has passed,
Trees have growned
seasons have changed but you're still the same,
Your beauty is still piercing as ever
Basked in the moonlight I'm reminded when I danced for you,
I can feel my heart ache a bit the buried memories surfaced
How have you been my love,
Have you missed me like I have
Did you feel the void you left inside of my heart,
My heart is empty can you hear it
I would give you the world and lay it on your feet, all you had to do is be by my side
I want your heart more than anything.

I didn't realise I was crying until I felt cold hands against my skin, although his hands were cold the touch burnt and I jumped back and I dabbed the traitor tears aways. "Your majesty." I was about to bow but he stopped me, he touched my Phoenix flower. "Where have you been?" He whispered softly but I was unable to answer my mouth felt so dry. "You're so hard to find, How are your injuries?" I felt the wound in my chest close a bit but I didn't want to have hope. "They're fine, I'm fine." He looked at me from head to toe, from the inside of his robes he took out a small bottle. "Here drink this, it will help with the poison." I stared at him stupifeid and he puts the bottle in my hand. "I'm not blind XiaoBai." He said as he walked away. "There will be a heavenly Celebration for heavenly lord, tell your father." He disappeared from view, I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding. I opened the little bottle and looked inside, it was a golden red substance and I quickly drank it, it tasted like blood it wasn't truly unpleasant but I have never seen golden blood, instantly I feel better but I was more confused then ever he was looking for me? I'm so hard to find? His not blind! What on earth does that mean. I send a butterfly message to the fox cave, I'm lazy to walk I will just settle on a tree and enjoy my stolen wine, I drink the night away and dreaming of the possibilities.

Dong Hua

I've lived for years and I've seen many things but,
My heart never moved not the way you made it move,
You shook my heart
Little girl what are you doing to me,
How is it that you shoot through my world and leave it all bright
I'm used to a colourless life but suddenly it's bright, was I waiting for you
Little girl what are you trying to do with my heart.

I lost my fox and I haven't been able to find it anywhere, even I have been looking for XiaoBai but there's no sign of her either. Yang Yang had been brooding but at some point he let out his anger, I don't think he realised all he said in the fit of his anger. "Yang Yang where is Bai Fengjiu?" I had asked I was really concerned about her injuries she took a poisonous dagger for me. "How am I supposed to know." He snapped, usually he doesn't talk to me like this he usually holds his anger but I think something was eating him. "Oh?" I was waiting for an apology but instead he fumed even more.  " You're so heartless you know that, I don't even know what she sees in you. You are really made out of stone, that poor girl has been through so much for your sake but you don't even notice. Do you know when she danced for you in the garden she took two daggers for you! Plus that one, do you know how much poison is in her system because of this and that little f..." He Breathed in and he just left,  I replay that day when she danced for me at the very end she had stumbled but when I asked she said she was fine! Then she took that dagger again, does she have a death wish. Even though I was angry I found myself smiling, just then the third prince came in. "Please tell me you found an empress." My smile dropped, Mei I wasn't really going to marry her but it was more of a favour to her parents nobody is worthy to be my empress. "I don't want an empress." He rolled his eyes at me, "Tell me are you still looking for your fox?" He asked. "Mm." He waved his fan. "Maybe you should check the fox cave." Then he left me, he knew something that I didn't and I will find out when then time is right. I remember what Yang Yang said about the little Princess, I drew blood from my forearm and put it in a small bottle it won't heal her completely but it will make it much easier to bear, I will get rid of it for her soon.

I have been walking around here for so long there's no sign of her or my little fox, I soon gave up the thought of finding it since I thought maybe it went back to its home. I was standing on the peach groove admiring the beauty and the fragrance then I felt something soft bump into me, I turned around and there she was. She seemed unaware of where she was going but soon when her eyes landed on mine, a swirl of emotions erupted from those beautiful orbs but sorrow was the most dominant one, I wiped her tears but she had moved back as if I had burnt her. I handed her the blood and told her to pass my message to her father, I hope that I see her tomorrow.

The celebration was held at the eastern sea side, where there's only jade ponds and lotus flowers everywhere even though the fragrance here is too sweet, heavenly lord likes it and it gives the people of the local clans to interact with him, I was waiting patiently to see if she would come after ten minutes the fox clan arrived but she looked completely dead, she was paler than anyone here and her eyes looked like her soul had been sucked out of her. I couldn't see any of these yesterday because it was dark, on the surface she looked healthy but if you looked close enough you could see the underlying danger. Since the ghost king had been killed I was hoping nothing bad would happen but the moment Mei and her parents walked in, I just knew my joy had been killed. They bought flattering gifts for the king and XiaoBai had brought food, Mei doesn't want a husband I don't know what in her head married life is like I was hoping maybe she had some dreams or a picture of what kind of life she wanted but she's one of those goddess's who have lived all their lifetimes being trained on how to be a wife of a god, she used flattery words instead of the real truth and she wanted to be my empress for all the wrong reasons. She had no idea what it was to dream and be childlike not like XiaoBai, XiaoBai is childlike and naughty and she has many things she knows and still wants to know, she's bright and playful. She honest not with just her words but her actions too and like a child she gets distracted easily, she easy to engage in something until she sees something else  entertaining and she abandons whatever that had caught her attention in the first place, in public space she acts innocent and mature but I know how often she got punished for her unruly behaviour, she doesn't have a vindictive bone in here body she pure in everything. I watched her as she walked around the jade ponds in her light red robe with her beautiful raven silky hair tied in place with a gold hairpin and the rest of hair left disciplined on her back, she felt and seemed out of place everyone had been focusing on the extravagant gifts that heavenly lord brought with him, but she had been sitting by the jade pond glaring at it. "Your majesty." Mei called for my attention, I looked at her and just in time to see XiaoBai also looking at her there was so much sadness in her eyes but she quickly looked away. "Mm." I answered. "I made you these." She took out a white robe adorned with gold and purple strips along its length. " I don't need anything." I looked at XiaoBai as she continued her glaring contest with the pond and suddenly a water ghost came out to attack her but she got rid of it before anyone could notice, although she tried very hard to be unnoticed she unceremoniously fell into the water and all eyes were on her, her wet clothes clinged into her body showing off her beauty and outlining the curves of her body, for some reason I hated the idea of everyone seeing that, I pulled her out of the water with my powers and shielded her from everyone's eyes giving her my outer robe to cover herself. She innocently blinked at me, never breaking eye contact. "XiaoBai.... XiaoBai...." I called her but  no answer then I took her away from the eyes of the people. "XiaoBai you need to get rid of the wet clothes." Her eyes were still on me not breaking eye contact, she smiled brightly and let my robe fall on the ground as she started to untie her outer robe. "No! Not here."  I held her hand and cloud jumped to heaven. I called one of the fairy maids to help her change and asked them to prepare some soup for her. She was burning up when I got back to her but as soon as I walked in, she smiled brightly at me. "Dijun." She called softly." Don't speak XiaoBai you're sick." The fairy maid brought the soup and I served it to her but on the third serving, she indicated that she was going to vomit. I let her vomit it out while rubbing her back soothingly, I checked on how much poison was in her system and what I saw horrified me almost her whole body was now made up of the toxins her spiritual power was weak and her magic was slowly dimming,  I made a small cut in my wrist and opened her mouth and let the blood drop inside. She grabbed my wrist and put it against her mouth and she started sucking, for someone who ate human food it seemed like blood was more of her favourite and soon she started drifting off to sleep, her hand loosened up against my wrist. Her Uncle came into the palace to check on her, I told him she was alright all she needed was sleep, she got a very high fever after cloud jumping then he went back to the party.
