Chapter Eight

Xiaojiu

I woke up feeling fresh and energetic I looked around and I noticed that I'm at the peach groove, I try to remember why would I be here but I can't. What I know is I've been having really nice dreams, I have dreamt a beautiful dream like this for a while; I even kissed his majesty although he didn't respond to my kiss he didn't push me away, he felt so real then I figured that he is getting married how could he kiss me back even in the dream he is loyal. Uncle Yan come in to check on me and he smiled when he saw that I'm awake. "Finally you're up, how do you feel?" He asked while putting his hand against my forehead. "I feel good, what happened to the party?" I was eager to go back. "Fengjiu that was three days ago." My mouth hanged open I have been asleep for three days! Three days! I have really outdone myself. My uncle snapped his fingers in front of me to get back my attention, "Don't you remember what happened?" I blinked at him then shook my head. "You little naughty fox you fell into the jade pool and his majesty saved you, because your clothes were wet he gave you his outer robe to cover yourself. The men there had seen what a beauty you are, so he cloud jumped to heaven with you but in arriving you had a high fever. His majesty! Oh no! Is it possible that I..... No! No! I screamed inside of my head. "So...so...he looked after me?" It was a statement but it rather came out as a question, my uncle nodded then little fragments of my memory flashed in my head Oh no! I cried in his arms! Then the memories just flooded my mind, I was feeling flustered and my uncle seemed to notice. "Why are you so red?" I couldn't answer, I looked at what I was wearing and my heart stilled purple robe! How am I going to live up to this, No no no then that mee.. meant there's could be a chance I kissed him. I really have outdone myself haven't I? My uncle seemed amused. "I hope you didn't do anything embarassing, you know how you are when you're sick." My face flushed even more and basically I was screwed, as I thought about that I remember taking a hand and putting it on my...no what have I done! I just had to asked though."U-uncle w...was hi...his majesty with m..me the w..whole time." Being embarrassed was an understatement of the century. "Yes he personally took care of took care of you the whole day and most of the night." I covered my head in shame with the quilt. "Xiaojiu what did you do?" I couldn't say word I quickly changed from his robe, I washed it and I wasn't ready to face but I have to return his act of kindness. I walked through the Heavenly gates admiring the view, heaven is really beautiful but the his Majesty's palace couldn't compare to it, I made my to the palace I found him sitting with the third prince. A bright smile plastered itself on his face. "Dijun you have a guest!" He exclaimed while getting up, I bowed to him and he excused himself. I bowed in front of his majesty, he looked exhausted my embarassment from earlier on had disappeared a bit. "Your majesty thank you for taking care of me last... Well I mean three days ago, I...I brought you back your robe." I said while not meeting his eyes. "XiaoBai look at me." My heart rate accelerated and I felt the blush spreading from my cheeks to my neck, his eyes had a very intense stare that I have never seen before. "Stay with me for awhile." He said that as he closed his eyes,I stood there dumbfounded for awhile but I approached his seat and kneeled in front him. I traced my hands against his skin, smooth and warm, I traced his eyebrows, his eyelids down his nose then I stared at his lips, I really meant to touch them but my lips moved on their own accord and I pecked his lips. Realising my mistake I gasped and tried to make a run for it but he grabbed my hand and tucked my hand under his arm. "You're so noisy be quite." I just stared at him, watching him, suddenly I heard a loud bang, I pulled my hand away and stood in front his majesty putting a protective barrier around him, I stood in a fighting stance only for a shame faced Yang Yang to appear. I walked towards him and grabbed his hand pulling back outside. " Be quiet his majesty is asleep." I hissed at him at first he seemed surprised then he smirked at me. "Oh you came to heaven and you don't even come see me." He accused, "You...I just got here." He snorted but hugged me gently. " I'll come back later, if he's asleep. Come see me, would you?" I nodded and I watched his retreating back, I thought it was a good idea to go make his majesty some sweet and sour fish and a vegetable soup for energy.

Dong Hua

I hadn't expected to see her so soon, I was sitting with the third prince when she came to my palace, she looked much better. I wanted to tease her but there was something about her that made me hold of, she said thank you but I wasn't ready for her to go so I asked her to stay then I closed my eyes, I wasn't really expecting her to do much. I started meditating then I felt them her soft delicate fingers on my face, she traced every part of my face gently and ever so softly she pecked me. She wanted to run away but I grabbed her hand and tucked it under my arm, her heart rate was running wild. XiaoBai do you know what you're doing to me
You're such a brave little fox
All the other goddess's would envy your bravery
In heaven or earth who would dare kiss me, twice for that matter.
Who would dare lay their fingers on my skin,

A loud bang disturbed my thoughts I opened my eyes to see XiaoBai standing in front of me in a fighting stance, she had put me in a protective shield. XiaoBai you protect me always without thinking about the danger that may come to you, I find interesting everytime I see you oh XiaoBai I didn't know that ice could melt this quickly. When I saw Yang Yang I knew it was his fault, I watched as she walked towards him and reprimanded him for disturbing me, how funny this is XiaoBai treated everyone the same whether you're older or younger if she's familiar with you she does as she pleased, I  watched her walking away XiaoBai where are you going now, I wondered but waited patiently for her return.
