Bianca

I know Zion told me to lay low but I had to see Emmett. I was still pissed at him, but I couldn't help but miss being in his arms. Plus I knew he'd be heartbroken by Vanessa's death. I could comfort and snatch him away at the same time.

I made my way to Emmett's house and was surprised to see the door opened ajar. I slowly opened the door before walking in. The house was a complete mess, trash was thrown carelessly along the floor.

"Emmett?" I called out.

I climbed the stairs, two at a time almost afraid of what I might see. I peeked into Emmett's just as he was coming out of the bathroom, his towel fitting loosely around his waist. At least he was still taking care of his hygiene. I watched quietly as he put his hands into his face. It hurt to see him in this kind of state.

"Emmett, baby?"

I called out softly. His head instantly snapped up in my direction.

"Bianca? What are you doing here?"

"I came to see how you were doing. I know this has been hard on you."

Emmett narrowed his eyes at me.

"What are you talking about?"

My eyes widened in realization.

"Oh God! You don't know!"

Emmett's eyebrow lifted.

"What don't I know?"

"Oh baby, I'm so sorry!" I said wrapping my arms around him.

Emmett leaned back to look at me.

"What's going on? What don't I know? You're not telling me anything!"

"It's Vanessa," I said allowing my voice to crack.
I ground my teeth together when he suddenly became alert.

"What about her?"

I snapped out of my irritated thoughts and whispered

"She's dead."

Emmett's eyes widened in disbelief.

"W-what?"

"I'm surprised you haven't heard. It was a terrible car crash."

"No! No, this can't be happening!"

"You're fucking pathetic, you know that?"

My blood ran cold at whose voice it was.
