Remus walked out of the cheery little cafe on the corner, cradling a takeaway cup of hot chocolate in his reusable mug. (Save the turtles)
He reached out to open the door when suddenly he was flung backwards. Someone has pushed open the door roughly, catching Remus in the cheek and knocking him over.
Remus looked up in shock, meeting the eyes of a frantic boy, around his age, with shoulder length black hair, wearing an ACDC t-shirt underneath a black leather jacket and black, ripped skinny jeans.
The thing he noticed second was a scalding sensation, spreading from his hand up his arm, the hot chocolate had spilt and was burning his skin.
The boy was frantically apologising, grappling paper napkins trying to mop up the spilt liquid.
"Don't worry about it." Remus heard the words coming out of his mouth, but he was too fixated on the boy to realise what he was saying.
"I'm okay."
Remus stood up, brushing off the onlookers hands. He walked out of the cafe, hearing the little bell tinkle, and walked home in a daze.
It wasn't until he was home that he noticed the purple bruise on his cheek, spreading out across his jaw.
