CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE:
FEELINGS

**Please read A/N I need opinions so I know what you guys think**

THE TWO WALKED HAND in hand as they walked the neighborhood. It was late at night and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky so all the stars could be seen. It made Echo smile. She loved the stars. She didn't know why, they just soothed her. She was always in a better mood when she could see the stars, and Carlisle noticed this.

"I can't believe Bella is going to be graduating in less than a month." Echo sighed, shaking her head. She looked back ahead of her and started to swing their hands. "I feel so bad for missing out on the past five years. The years she's needed me the most."

"But you're here now. And this year is the year she's really going to need you. She'll be graduating and possibly going to college. She'll need you there for her because you've already been through all of that." His voice was gentle as he talked and it made Echo's heart flutter. She was slowly―︎but surely―︎getting used to the thought of being in a relationship again. She found Carlisle to be great company and she found that every time he was around, he made butterflies erupt in her stomach just by him looking at her. For the first few weeks, she scolded herself for the feelings. But now, she was starting to accept them now that he knew her back story.

He didn't look at her any differently when she had told him. No body, not even her sister, looked at her differently when they were told of her past relationship with Russia. She was happy for once in her life. But, all happy things come to an end. Echo knew that all too well.

"What's on your mind, love?" Carlisle gently asked her. Another positive thing was that Echo no longer cringed at the word love, mainly because whenever Carlisle called her love it made her knees go weak. Echo looked at him as she answered.

"A lot." Echo simply answered. A debate popped into her head and a goofy smile fell onto her lips. Carlisle cocked an eyebrow at her and she couldn't help but shake her head and laugh. "God, I never thought I would feel like this again."

"Like what?"

"Like a teenager in love." She simply answered, stopping to look at him. He turned to face her, a smile of his own crawling onto his lips. Echo laughed again. "I don't know what it is about you, Carlisle Cullen, but you have made me fall for you harder than I have ever fallen for someone before. I truly don't know how you did it."

"At least I know the feeling is mutual." He softly said. "I've been waiting for awhile. Waiting for the perfect moment. But, now that I know how you feel. . ."

"You can do it, I believe in you." Echo smirked. Carlisle let out a chuckle at his words and Echo couldn't help but smile at the sound.

"Will you, Echo Swan, be my girlfriend?"
