Jaylani POV:

I cried there in his arms for what seemed like ever until he said: "I gotta take him somewhere. He needs help."

"W-What do you mean you gotta take him somewhere?"

"We gotta take him to a mental hospital or something for a bit J. He's not... right."

I sighed and continued to cry.

"Everyone left and they know nothing about what's going on alright? Tracy and Gus are trying to calm him down and then I'm gonna take him to the hospital. I might be there overnight and I doubt you want to be alone so I'm gonna ask you to stay here, okay?"

"How long will he be gone?" I asked.

He sighed. "You're really still worried about what's gonna happen to him?"

"I love him, Stoke. You wouldn't understand, it's not his fault."

"I understand that J, but he needs help."

"I know."

"Gus and Tracy will take care of you for the night, and if you want you can ask Ayleks to come over with you but I don't want you to be alone."

"Why don't you want me alone?"

"I'm afraid you'll hurt yourself," he said. Those words hit hard. Sure, I didn't have the urge to kill myself anymore, but the thought crossed my mind. I sighed. "I'll call her and she can come to stay with you guys."

"But I don't know Gus or Tracy at all."

"I trust them. I know they'll do the right thing."

"Okay." He pulled away and started to stand up and then grabbed my waist and picked me up and carried me out of the dark closet and into the living room and then laid me down on the couch.

"You call me whenever alright, I'll pick up, I promise," he said as he stood over me as I laid on the couch. I nodded and then he walked away.

"Stoke?" I asked. He turned around and I grabbed his arm and sat up and pulled him into a hug.

"I'll be back J, I promise," he assured me. I nodded and wiped a tear from my eyes. "I'll call Ayleks," he said, and then walked away. My eyes followed him and saw him walk towards the door, then I locked eyes with Jahseh, who was being held against the wall by Gus and Tracy. He looked at me with tears in his eyes, and his face wet, and an exhausted, guilty look in his eyes. Gus whispered something in Stokeley's ear and then Tracy and Stokeley grabbed Jahseh's arms and put them behind his back and started to haul him outside like he was being taken by the police or something.

"NO LANI I'M SO SORRY! I'M SO SORRY I HURT YOU, BABY, I LOVE YOU!" Jahseh cried. I covered my mouth with my hand and began to hyperventilate and cry once again. I closed my eyes trying to stop the tears from falling but then I felt the presence of someone right in front of me. I opened my eyes to be face to face with Gus. Tears continued to pour down my face.

"Hey, hey, hey, don't cry," he said. I shook my head and closed my eyes again. I sat up so I wasn't in a laying position and he sat down right next to me. "I know we don't really know each other but I am so sorry," he said. I turned to face him and I could see the sympathetic guilt glimmering in his eyes. "Is there anything I can get you? Stokeley said your friend would be here soon."

"W-water p-please," I replied. He nodded and got up and walked into the kitchen. I heard the sink water running, followed by his footsteps and then the sounds of the couch dipping as he sat right beside me. He handed me the cup of water and I gladly took it. The water splashed out of the cup a little because of how bad my hands were shaking but I brought it up to my lips and sipped anyways.
