Hiccup Pov

Illyria refused to make an entire hut for herself, so we settled with her having her own, large room instead. Instead of the original one-story hut that I had planned for myself, it would be two stories. The first floor would be the workroom, and the second floor would be the sleeping quarters. in the middle of the second floor would a retractable curtain that would allow the room to be split in half so that the two of us could get our privacy when we needed to.

Elyria would get half of the room, and I would get the other.

"Are you sure that's enough? You don't want your own hut?"

"I'm used to smaller quarters. Plus, I don't like being alone, so I'd rather just stay with you."

A small hint of a blush rose on her pale cheeks, reminding me of last evening.

FLASHBACK

"El, I got everybody else's ideas for their hut, except for yours. Did you have anything in mind?"

"H-H-Hiccup?! I mean, yes! NO! I wasn't thinking about you, who said that?!"

"Huh? No one told me- wait. Did you say that you were just thinking about me?"

For a split second, my mind stopped working, and I could feel the heat rising up to my face. She was thinking about me?! I thought, trying to figure out what that meant.

"Huh? W-why would I be thinking about you?! I'll get you my idea for the hut by tomorrow, okay?!"

FLASHBACK OVER

Her face had been as red as her eyes. It was adorable. She was stuttering and in denial, but that was okay. That meant that she had some type of feeling towards me, and that was enough. For now. Living together meant that I would be able to see her every day, along with that beautiful, cute smile of hers.

"All right then. I'll cut out a large door in the wall and attach a balcony on the outside so that you can get in and out of the house quickly when you need to."

"That sounds great. Thanks, Hiccup."

~~~ Time Skip ~~~
"Hiccup!! We have trouble!! Did you hear that Gustav is- standing right beside you. Okay." Snotlout said, smiling awkwardly.
Gustav was, to be completely honest, a creepy weirdo. I've seen my fair share of creepy and weird, but he was on another level. I'm glad that El's going to be sleeping for most of today. By then, I should be able to get him out of here, and not even lay eyes on Elyria. I thought.
"You're making me babysit him?! Why me?" Astrid complained.
"I'm making major breakthroughs with the Dragon Eye. Please? I just need more time." I begged.
To be truthful, I was trying to buy time so that I would be able to warn El and keep her hidden somehow. Gustav had a thing for pretty women, and he was even worse then Snotlout. If he saw El, I didn't know what he would do to bother her. And to be honest, I was more worried about his safety than I was for El. She knew how to handle herself.
"Fine. Just keep Elyria out of his sight. She's been helping me train all night, so she's probably really tired. The last thing she needs right now is a perverted weirdo."
"I know. Thanks, Astrid."
But of course, the plan didn't go as planned. I had to spend the day taking care of all the mess that Gustav had left behind him, that I never really got to warning El. Maybe that was the reason why we were in this situation right now. El had been sleeping soundly in her room, but somehow Gustav had made it inside.
"Whoa!! Hiccup, what is that weird thing in your room? It looks like a giant bat!!" Gustav exclaimed, poking and prodding El from all directions.
Since El had extra three limbs (a pair of wings and a tail), she didn't sleep on a bed like most people. She slept hanging upside down on the ceiling somewhere or sitting down in a corner. She preferred higher places compared to lower places. And with her massive wings wrapped around her like a cocoon, she looked like an enormous bat at first glance.
"And what are all these girly clothes? Don't tell me that they're yours, Hiccup!!" He was now touching her clothes!!
Oh, Thor. Please help me get through this. El hates getting her stuff messed around with!! Last time the Thorstons touched her clothes without permission, she burned their hut down to the ground and filled in their boar pit with dead spiders!! I thought, fear and cold sweat trickling down my back.
"Hiccup, get that rude asshole out of my room before I roast him on a spit and eat him for dinner," El stated, her harsh grumble filling the room with sheer bloodthirst and animosity.
"WHOA!! The giant bat talked!! Hiccup, did you hear that?!"
"The giant bat is very tired, Gustav. Why don't we let it rest for a while?" I suggested, dragging him out of our hut.
I have to get an excuse to get him out of here, and fast!!
Elyria may seem to be an adorable and kind person, but that's only part of her personality. Gustav better watch his back!!
