Adeliah’s POV

I was very confused when Harry asked me to come to the park after school. I don’t know what he meant. What if he is going to say something I don’t like? Exams are coming up, and I needed to focus, and thinking about Harry wasn’t going to help.

I went into my biology class. Mr. Hans said we were going to do an experiment and we need a partner to do that. Great, now I need to find one. I was finding a partner, and someone tapped on my back.

“Hey, you want to be my partner?” She asked.

The girl has blonde hair, sea blue eyes, and pale skin. She looks perfect.

“Erm…sure.” I hesitated.

“I’m kind of new here. I was here in the first semester, perhaps you didn’t notice me. Anyway, I was here and my family moved. Now, I’m back and people are staring at me like I’m a creep,” she explained, “I’m talking too much.”

 I smiled. “It’s alright.”

“My name is Brittany, I hope I didn’t scare you.” She introduced.

“I’m Adeliah, and you certainly did not scare me at all, Brittany.” I replied.

Then, we decided to work on our experiment. We were looking at animal cells, which Mr. Hans gave us a piece of chicken meat.

“So, you got anyone yet?” Brittany asked.

I stayed silent for a bit, because I don’t know if I got anyone yet. I don’t know if Harry and I are a thing or not. “Yes and no. It’s complicated.”

“Well, it’s a certainly a yes for you. Look at you, smiling to yourself.”

Of course it was a yes for me, but I don’t know if it’s the same for Harry.

After Biology, Brittany said goodbye to me and ask if she could sit with me at lunch. I agreed.

Harry’s POV

It was lunch time and I was eager to see Ade. I was getting closer to Ade’s table and I noticed a new girl. I’m going to admit, she’s beautiful. But not as beautiful as my Ade.

“Hey, I’m Harry, Ade’s best friend.” I greeted her.

I swear I could see Adeliah’s face fell when I said that. I wish I could tell her now, but I can’t. I need to perfect that moment.

“Hi, I’m Brittany!” The girl said with a bit too much enthusiasm.

“Are you new here?” I asked out of curiosity.

“Technically, I’m not. I was here last semester, but my family decided to move to somewhere else and now I’m back.” She answered.

Ade was being quiet, I know she’s not happy because of my introduction. But, she won’t be anymore, not after today.
