The desolation of meteor city [Hunter x Hunter Phantom troupe]

A normal day - filler

"Machi I am not going to return really soon, if you are hungry you should know where the food his." I said while closing the door behind me,  she probably nodded.
Shalnark returned to his place yesterday but machi didn't returned to her house yet, I don't blame her at all, you know it's good to have someone to talk with, even for silent and introverted people like me and her, actually her presence was quite nice, she cleaned the house and then we played cards or watch a movie.
She recommended me to read a couple of books that I never heard before and she borrowed some books from my library, she isn't outgoing and she seems really bitter on the outside but the reality is different.
"How's going today" A merchant asked me, actually he wasn't a normal merchant, he was the antiquarian, "Well good as always, I am just relaxing." I replied, "I saw that you have a girlfriend uh?" He asked, I giggled and laughed "No, not really, she is a coworker." I said,
"Really? Coworkers that sleep at each other's houses?" He asked in disbelief, I looked at him and sighed "Yeah actually coworkers isn't the right word, we could say even family if you want to." I said, "Well when you want to buy something I am here you know" he said and then I waved at him as I walked away.
While I was walking around I heard a crushing sound, I thought that someone trying to get something from a pile of trash got crushed, that wasn't strange, it actually happened often,
But then something scratched my back, and lightly bited my ankle.
It was a dog, it seemed like a dobermann, he was a male, a really young one, I couldn't resist and I started to pet him, "You got lucky boy" I said as I started playing with him, I grabbed him and started carrying him in my arms "You got really lucky" I repeated.
I was walking with him in my arms, he didn't seem to be particularly scared, honestly his such a good boy, and finally I arrived to one of my favorite places in meteor city, the kennel, actually that kennel didn't existed few years ago, actually it keeps existing thanks to my regular donations, I am almost like the owner at this point, I financed everything that is inside that kennel and I personally know the 'nurses' that are working there, there is also a 'veterinary', good people not bandits like me.
"Guys I have a new good boy" I said as I entered the building, one of the girls that worked there saw me coming with the dog and was all excited, "Dobermann uh? We didn't have one yet" she happily said as I placed the dog on the ground, he immediately started running towards her.
"Where is the doc" I asked, "Upstairs" she replied while feeding the dog, I walked forward passing all the hallway, then I started walking upstairs and immediately found him, "Doc I am here to donate" I said, "Why? Honestly why investing all that money on us?" He asked,
"Investing? What the heck? I love dogs more than humans that's all, plus I have a lot of money so I don't mind donating." I said.
"Who would've thought that a member of the troupe does charity?" He said to himself,
"Well I am someone who cares for the environment, for the animals and for the nature in general, I just don't give a fuck about humans that's all." I explained as I started petting a cat that was there.
"I really don't get how your mind works" He sighed in disbelief,
"No one really does, even I don't understand myself" I said laughing,

I leaved the kennel and started going at moonburg, it's the best part of meteor city, there are criminals but it's generally better and has better buildings, technically it's a part of the old citadel, moonburg was a prison but not a normal one, actually it was a prison city, prisoners lived in this city inside the incredibly big walls of the prison, right now is just a normal part of the city but some of the walls
are still there.

Walking towards the citadel door a girl was looking at me very intensely, I looked back and she covered her mouth while laughing, then she winked, I sighed, this was embarrassing to say the least, it happened sometimes and it was always frustrating and annoying, then I looked at her and loudly said "These damn hookers are annoying, come on go away, try to seduce someone else you damn ugly mussel"
She didn't like my reaction, in fact her face passes from being surprised to angry to sad,
Maybe I was wrong? She excused herself before going away, Yeah I was probably wrong, I started laughing, her reaction was so funny, and now that I think about it what does 'ugly mussel' even mean?
Finally I entered the the citadel door, now I needed something to cook for dinner and maybe some movies or some cd.
I quickly look at some of the merchants stalls,
Actually there was something interesting, I needed eggs bacon or pig cheek parmesan cheese and onions. I could actually find those products at a reasonable price, now I could finally search for something really interesting.
After a couple of minutes I found a girl who had his stall full of movies and CDs, "Uhmm, nothing interesting here really" I said trying to see if she was that kind of merchant that you can deal with, "Really? Come on there aren't any stalls like this one around" she said a bit frustrated, "I noticed" I replied, she looked surprised and relieved, "this is some serious stuff, In the court of the crimson king, Hypnotized and mesmerized, Led Zeppelin and led zeppelin II." I said surprised and excited,
"You have a shit ton of musical tastes miss" I pointed out, "Uh oh, well yeah it's incredible isn't it?" She asked, "Awesome I'll buy this five albums and about films I'll buy pulp fiction, the redemption of shawshank and reservoir dogs" I said grinning, I payed and leaved.

Then after some walking I returned at my place, opened the door and smelled some good cooked beef, "Uh you are back, finally it was an hour, I waited for you to eat" Machi said,
"Uh I see you missed me this much? We seem to be a lovely couple, like husband and wife" I said jokingly, she didn't look upset as usual but she replied as usual "To me you seem like an idiot" she said, "Such harsh words" I said being melodramatic and touching my chest, "Come on aren't you hungry" She pointed out, "Oh yes, you know me far too well, perhaps I may be just an idiot in the end." I said as I sat down and she served me some delicious beef, "So what you think? Is it great?" She asked,
"Uhm I see you really do care about my opinions towards you" I teased, "I care about what you think because you are a great chef" she pointed out, such an harsh girl, I tasted the beef and said "Good, but nowhere near my level of cooking of course", she didn't look disappointed perhaps she was expecting a comment like that.
