The desolation of meteor city [Hunter x Hunter Phantom troupe]

March 20th

The fresh air flowed through my window, the moonlight creeped inside my room, I heard someone talking in the streets, nothing out of the ordinary.
It was night but I couldn't sleep at all, I felt abit of a void inside, I laughed and thought about my life choices.
Maybe I should've escaped from meteor city and searched for a comfortable house somewhere around the world, maybe I should've tried to be an hunter, maybe I should've stayed with the council, or maybe I didn't anything wrong, yeah I didn't really regretted anything.
The spider is what I needed, I didn't wanted to die on the streets, I didn't wanted to be a priest or a member of the council, I didn't wanted to have a normal life and a normal job, that kind of life is meaningless and full of void, you just work to pay your car to go to work, basically you work for nothing.
That night I couldn't sleep at all.

The morning I was tired and I didn't wanted to eat anything at all, but suddenly my phone rang and I had received a text from Danchou,
It said "Next September in Yorknew city there is going be an auction, we will gather all the troupe members, this could be our biggest work yet.",

I just replied with an "Ok" but I was kind of thrilled, it was going to be good, all of us together assaulting the biggest underground auction in the world, there was still a lot of time before September but I wanted to wait patiently.

I slept and I woke up in the evening, with a couple of missed calls from Machi.

I immediately called her back,

"Machi what did you wanted?" I asked and she huffed,

"Tomorrow we have to go on the far East." She said,

"Just the two of us?" I asked in a persuasive voice,

"Baka, we are going to met up with the boss pakunoda and kortopi." She said annoyed.

"A pity." I said and she hanged up.

"Ah it's always entertaining to piss her off." I murmured as I slowly walked towards the bathroom, I washed my face and my teeth before choosing my outfit for the day after.
I walked downstairs in the kitchen and someone knocked on the door,

"Come in." I said as I grabbed an apple to eat,

"Idiot, why didn't you responded sooner." She said,

"I was sleeping." I replied, and she shook her head.

I was still almost naked and I know that that didn't bothered her at all, but I wanted to be polite so I dressed myself with a pair of gym shorts.

"Can I ask you something?" She said,

"What?" I replied,

"I never saw you training, how's possible that you still have a refined musculature?" She asked,

"It's because I am perfect I think, maybe also eating fruit helps." I said as I jokingly flexed my muscles and she pinched my nipple,

"Ah fuck!" I yelled and she giggled.

"Machi did the boss tell you about yorknew?" I asked and she nodded,

"Well I have to go, I wanted to come here to see if you were still alive but it seems like you were just sleeping." She said as she walked out of the door.

The day after

Machi knocked on my door and we started to walk.

"What ar we attacking precisely?" I asked,

"The gran gala, this incredible luxurious place with a ton of philanthropists." She said,

"Uh oh, cool, we need to dress properly though." I was excited, finally something different than just killing random mafia people, finally something interesting.

"Hisoka should've participated too, but he isn't here so probably the boss will call someone else." Machi said,

"I see." I said as I placed my hands behind my head.

We walked until my phone rang, It was shalnark calling.

"Yeah Shal?" I asked,

"Tey wait a minute where are you at?" He asked,

"Well in the middle of nowhere with Machi." I replied.

"Precisely?" He asked,

"Half a kilometer at east of my house." I explained,

"Uh, wait a moment I am arriving." He said as he hanged up.

"Well Machi, Shalnark is the one coming with us." I said with a smile.

After a bit shalnark arrived and we walked for a bit before we found a car to stole.
I drove for a two hours before changing with shalnark, after another couple of hours we arrived at the place of the meeting.

We entered in this hotel and the boss was already there with Paku and Kortopi.

"Paku, Kortopi, it has been a while." I said as I waved at them,

"Long time no see Tenshi." Paku replied, and kortopi simply nodded.

"So." The boss spoke, "Tomorrow we are going to the gala. Kortopi, Shalnark, you two are going to sneak inside. Pakunoda and Machi both have already a dress prepared, we need to find a suit." The boss ended looking at me,

"Do we need to remove earrings and piercings?" I asked looking at the boss, and he slowly nodded,

"That would be appropriate." He replied.

We walked outside, while the others stayed inside.

"Where to go?" I asked,

"Follow me." He replied.

We walked inside one of those luxurious places that sells suits and wedding dresses.

"How can I help you sir?" The owner said as I opened the door,

"It's okay I can look for myself." I replied,

I looked around and I saw that the boss was really undecided, sometimes he is such a dork, he was genuinely embarrassed.

"Sir I think that you should go with this one." A girl said,

"No neckties, I would like a bow tie." I said and she nodded,

"Can I take the measurements?" She asked to my disbelief.

"Measurements? Why?" I asked,

"To find a precise suit." She replied,

"No need to worry." I explained as I choose a random suit, it was the most normal that you could think about, black with a black bow tie.

"Sir to be honest that would fit you're friend over there, but not so much on you." She said,

"Why?" I asked,

"Because he has grey eyes, but you have colorful eyes and dressing all in black doesn't make them stand out." She explained,

"Da-" I was about to say but then I corrected myself since we were in public, "Chrollo come here a second." I said and he walked near the girl that looked a bit embarrassed,

"She said that this should look good on you." I said with a grin as he noticed the stare of the girl before I handed him over the suit, he nodded with a smile and quickly walked to the changing room.

"If I was in you sir I would choose a navy suit with a red bow tie." She said,

"No, I don't have anything against red bow ties or navy suits but together I'm not sure, you know what I'll buy that one." I said pointing at a navy suit with a white shirt and a blue bow tie, we bought the stuff and walked out.
