Chapter 41

Annie spend her whole vacations with her aunt in New York, she really missed that, when the break was over, as every other year, Laura took her to the airport 2 days before classes began again, when she arrived lex and his mom got her from the airport and she spend the last day of winter break with them.
The first week at Hogwarts was harder than she thought it would be. Every time she saw Draco in the great hall or in the hallways she secretly got sad. All she wanted to do was to run towards him and hug him tight, specially with the fact that he looked even worst than before the winter break. One specific evening Annie was on her way back to her dormitory when she saw him, face to face, in a corridor with nobody else on the sight.
"Hey" she decided to break the silence
"Uh hi... how have you been?" He asked nervously
"I'm good, I've been busy studying..."
"Uh I guess you've your meeting with Mcgonogall soon right?"
"Yea next week... and how have you been?"
"I guess my physic can speak for itself" Draco said with a nervous laugh. Annie looked down and said something that she really needed to say but was nervous to
"I miss you..."
Draco felt his heart broke down by those words, he looked around and discreetly took her hand "I miss you too, you don't have any idea how much"
Annie was about to say something when they heard a laugh and steps coming from one side of the corridors
"I should go now.." she said instead
"Have a nice night" Draco said before moving out of her way and let her walk away.
All the way down to the dormitory she couldn't stop thinking about it, about his touch, about his face....
But all of this fade away when she was just about to enter the common room, when she saw her best friend running towards her
"Woah Ginny slow down! What happened?"
"Ron, I think he got poisoned"
"Wait what?"
"Yea.. he is with madame Pomfrey, I'm heading there"
"Want me to go with you?"
"Yes please"
They arrived to see everyone Else was there, well everyone except Lavander. When they were heading back up the tower she got started walking with Ginny but Harry stopped her, Ginny continue waking and Annie stayed back with Harry
"Hey, I want to talk about something" he said
"What's up?"
"Well earlier while waiting for everyone I was looking on the map and I saw that you were near Malfoy" Annie's heart started beating so fast
"Were you spying on me?!?"
"Wait... calm down, no I was spying on him... I was just wondering if he said something or tell you something"
"No... I mean I was distracted, and I crashed with him, I said sorry and he just nodded, then I went my direction and he continue walking"
"Did you see where he was going?"
"Not really.. I continue with my thoughts, what you're asking this Harry?"
"You already know I'm suspicious about him... if you see him around next time please tell me if he look suspicious or something"
"And how I should know that?"
"You worked with him for a year Annie... and you're good reading people" he was not wrong. She could perfectly read Draco with just a glance.
