Galvan POV
It's been a week since Celine left and I badly missed her. I want to send myself right now to Palawan to be with her but I can't. I wanted to know her side. I don't want to be mad at her. I can't get mad at her actually.
I was about to leave the hospital when I saw two suspicious men. Nakaitim silang pareho at naka-cap. Napailing na lang ako't nagpatuloy sa paglalakad.
Nilingon ko ulit ang dalawang estranghero and they are walking towards me.
Are they after me?
I went to the parking lot and they are still following me. This is too bad. I stopped for a while to check them again. Akala ko lalapit sila but they also stopped.
"What do you want? Who send you here?" diretsahang tanong ko sa kanila nang hindi sila tinatapunan ng tingin.
They approached me and gave me a card. Right after I got the card they left. Hindi ko na rin naman sila hinabol. Binasa ko ang card na binigay nila.
"Return the drive...?"
What does this mean? I flip the card to see if there's written at the back at hindi nga ako nagkamali. May nakasulat nga sa likod ng card.
'Or meet death'
That drive...
Mallory was right someone's after the drive. At posibleng ang dalawang 'yon ang bumaril sa kanya noong nakaraan. Agad akong sukay sa kotse at sinubukan silang habulin. But they are already gone in the dark.
Sh*t!
I have to meet Mallory. I went to her place immediatel. Pagkabukas niya ng pinto ay agad akong pumasok.
"Tama ka. Someone's after the drive. Some two men in black followed me in the hospital," sabi ko agad sa kanya saka ipinakita ang card na ibinigay ng dalawang lalaki kanina.
She wasn't surprise.
"I had also received that. Kaya tinawagan kitang bumalik sa Pilipinas," seryosong usal niya.
Hindi ko akalaing pati pala siya's nakatanggap din. Kaya ba siya nabaril noong nakaraan? Are they giving us a warning?
"Halika. I want to show you something," sumunod naman ako sa kanya.
Dinala niya ako sa isang kwarto niya. Lumapit siya sa closet niya at hinawi ang mga damit niya. She swiped something at nagbukas ito patungo sa isa namang kwarto. She's having a secret room?
Pagkapasok ko pa lang agad na akong namangha sa loob ng kwarto na 'to. Mayroong organizational chart. May mga litrato at newspapers cut outs na nakapaskil sa pader. It's like a room for investigation.
"Chairman Lee gave me a tip about your dad. I started investigating. Nalaman ko ang tungkol sa Ischyros. Malaking proyekto ang tinatago nila," wika ni Mallory.
Napatingin ulit ako sa organizational chart. My dad's just an underling. Then who leads this organization? Mallory just put up a question mark.
"Kilala mo ba kung sino ang nag-uutos sa kanila?"
"I haven't found out about that yet but I am certain that he is a Chinese businessman. Ischyròs has been funded for years," sabi ni Mallory habang nagtitipa sa computer niya.
Chinese businessman? Funded?
"Wait. How sure you are that it's a Chinese? I mean there's a lot of businessman that would be interested."
"Look at this," pinakita niya sa akin ang litrato ni lolo. "This is your late grandfather Raphael Galvan. This man beside him is a famous doctor in China. If I'm not mistaken, they were scouted for a project but I think Raphael left the unfinished project and his replacement was your father. I think you already know that your father has Alexithymia. He can't feel any emotion that is why he is only obsessive about your mom. The drive doesn't really belong to your grandfather. He stole it from the Chinese organization he worked for."
