Prologue

Sabi nila kapag nagtagpo na raw kayo ng lalaking itinadhana ng Diyos para saiyo ay mistulang titigil ang mundo. Hihinto ang mga naglalakarang tao sa daan, tatahimik ang paligid at ang tanging ingay na maririnig mo lamang ay ang tibok ng mga puso niyo.

Tinanguan ko muna ang sekretarya kong si Essey bago isinara ang laptop sa harapan ko. Tumayo na rin agad ako at sumunod sa kanya sa baba.

Two floors lang naman itong bagong building na nilipatan ko. Ever since I left my secretariat job two years ago ay dito na ako napadpad sa sarili kong business.

I graduated in Business Marketing from college. I had attended various conferences, seminars, and pieces of training dealing with managing businesses when I was hired in a hotel as a manager.

I was exposed to lots of field works. Marami akong naging kaibigan sa iba't-ibang larangan sa business na gumabay sa akin para maitayo itong sarili kong business.

I am now standing as the CEO of my own business related to the planning of events. Although hindi ako graduate ng either hospitality or tourism management, I know much about event management. Thanks to my previous boss who sent me to pieces of training on this one.

"This way, ma'am Pent." Essey led me to the garden area located in the back part of our building.

One of the many reasons why I bought the place is because of the environment outside. At the back of the building, there was a wide space before. My engineer decided to create a garden good for outdoor meetings in that space. Napaka-accommodating ng ambiance.

"Pentaliticia!"

As soon as I arrived at the garden, my former college classmate Tracy greeted me with a warm hug.

"It's been years!" She exclaimed after we exchanged greetings. "By the way, this is my husband, Tyler. Hon, this is Pentaliticia..."

I extended my hand for a shake.

"Pent for short. Nice to meet you."

"You, too."

Tipid ko syang nginitian bago binalik ang tingin kay Tracy. Iginiya ko silang dalawa para umupo. My secretary sat with us, too.

"Nakita ko iyong pinafill in-an ni Essey. I actually like the masquerade theme na very fairytale. Ilang taon na nga ulit ang baby girl mo?"
