That One Match

Chapter 13

IT'S BEEN A MONTH nang makabalik ako ng Pilipinas. My relationship with Blank keeps on getting stronger. Mas lalo syang naging sweet ngayon lalo na nang magcelebrate kami ng Christmas and New Year together.

"Sa bahay ko kayo mamaya maghapunan ha. Make sure to bring Asul, Blank ha."

Pinandilatan ko sya. The last time I asked them for dinner, hindi nya dinala si Asul.

"I am not the food this time, sinasabi ko sayo."

He chuckled and gave me a quick kiss right after dropping me in my office.

"See you later, love. I love you."

I smiled and waved.

"I love you, too."

Pagpasok ko sa opisina ko, agad akong sinundan ni Essey.

"The new client is already waiting in the garden, ma'am."

"Sino nga ulit ito?"

"He is the man who wanted us to prepare for the coming birthday of his deceased girlfriend."

Nalungkot ako bahagya nang maalala ang kliyenteng ito. This will be the first time we're going to handle an event for someone who has died. If I can remember, according to Essey, ang sabi raw ng lalake ito ang magiging kauna-unahang beses na maghahanda sya ng event para sa namayapa nitong nobya.

What a sad story.

Nag-ayos lang ako sandali ng mga kakailanganin ko bago ako bumaba patungo sa garden.

"Good morning, sir. I'm Pentaliticia Locsin, the owner of Stature."

The guy who is taller than me stood up and extended his hand. He looked really attractive. No wonder why some of my employees were whispering to one another when I passed them awhile ago.

"Nice to meet you."

He has a soft hand for a man of his built.

"My name's Trion Alfred Jamira."

Jamira sounds familiar to me.

We started discussing things about the event he wanted us to organize. It will be a simple gathering with him and the lady's friends lang daw. Hindi ganoon ka engrande ang nais nya. He just wanted it to be simple but intimate.

"Where is your target venue for this, Mr. Jamira?"

His Adam's apple moved.

"Please call me T.A. Napakatanda naman kung sobrang pormal mo, Miss."

"Sure, no problem."

I repeated my unanswered question.

"Saan mo balak gawin itong event?"

"Sa bahay nya mismo. I will tell you the address soon. For now, iplano nyo na muna kung anong gagawin and once everything is ready, I will tell you."

Napakaswerte naman ng girl friend nito. He still makes time for her special day. Bihira na lang ang mga ganiyan. Iyong loyal pa rin sa isang tao kahit wala na ito sa tabi nya.

"We will do our best to make this event a memorable one, Sir T.A."

"Just T.A."

"I will leave you to my secretary to sign some documents. Tatawagan ka na lang ulit namin kapag may kailangan kami at kapag handa na ang lahat."
