Chapter 15

"HE WILL DRIVE you to my girlfriend's house. I'm sure you've been there already."

T.A. said in the middle of the tension growing between him and Blank. 

I tried to remain calm.

"Thanks, T.A. I will notify my people about the venue. Everything's fine with the preparations. I guess sa event na tayo ulit magkikita."

I extended my hand. He planned this.

"It was nice talking to you."

Sabi ko na may halong sarkasmo.

He took my hand and shook it.

"You will understand why I had to tell you this way, Pent."

I faked smiled.

Nilingon ko si Heptane.

"Let's go?"

Nagulat bahagya si Heptane pero umu-o rin ito. I looked at Blank.

"Kay Heptane ako sasakay. We will talk later na lang."

He held my arm.

"Sa akin ka na sumabay."

He pulled me out of the place. Hindi ako umalma. I went inside his car. We left the area first.

"ASK. You may ask anything that is bothering you right now."

I crossed my arms and looked outside the window.

"Wala akong tanong, Blank."

"What did that jerk told you?"

I glared at him.

"T.A.'s not a jerk. He is my client."

"T.A. tss, you didn't even tell me he is your client."

"Bakit ko naman sasabihin sayo? Since when did you ask about the names of my clients?"

Medyo tumaas ang boses ko. He sighed and stopped the car on the side of the road.

He took his seatbelt and turned his body to face him. Inabot nya ang seatbelt ko at inalis rin ito. He made me face him.

"WHAT?"

I asked and rolled my eyes.

"Are we fighting because of your client?"

Umarko ang labi ko sa tanong nya.

"Oh. Are we fighting?"

I mimicked him.

"Pentaliticia, stop playing around. Seryoso ako. Talagang pagtatalunan natin ang lalaking iyon?"

I rolled my eyes again.

"Nagtatalo ba tayo dahil kay T.A? I am not informed."

"Pentaliticia..."

He sounded so done with me. I sighed and looked straight to his face.

"Wala naman kasi. Hindi naman kasi tayo nagtatalo, Blank. I'm just pissed at how things are turning out."

I bit my lips and looked away.

"I'm confused right now. Okay?" 

Dagdag ko.

"Confused about what?"

He asked and held my right hand.

"About you a-and your wife."

I stuttered.

"You never asked me about Hera kaya hindi ako nagkukwento. You just have to ask me. Alam mo naman na kapag nagtanong ka, sasabihin ko naman lahat sayo diba?"
