Chapter twelve✓

Olivia pushed down the bile forming in her throat as another wave of sickening naesaue overwhelmed her. Even if she had seen dead bodies, been through unexplainable horror, throwing up still scared her and she refused to do so and especially in public. The bumpy road didn't help at all, actually aiding the nausea that continuously threatens to consume her entire system.

She winced as more pain flooded her side and traveled up like vines of steaming hot coffee into her chest. Her body was laid horizontally on the bus seat, back propped up against the window as she tried her hardest (but was failing miserably) to keep her eyes open.

"Hey, Olivia," She heard a familiar voice push through her muddled thoughts. At first the voice sounded distorted, like it was muffled, but then her eyes began to reopen and the voice started to clear. "No, no, no. You can't sleep, okay? Both of you are not dying on me today." Stiles said, shaking the tired girl awake along with his friend beside him whose eyelids were barely even open.

Olivia gave him a small grunt and shifted in her seat to show him she wasn't dead...yet, and tried to stay conscious as painful as it was, she attempted to bear with it. God, I could really use some Mexican right now. She thought to herself, her stomach growling despite her current condition.

"Okay next word — Incongruous." Stiles read from his tablet, trying to distract Scott who was feeling like actual death at the moment, but Stiles was doing his best...which wasn't much, but he neglected to think that way.

"Um, can you use it in a sentence?" Scott asked, wincing at his side and looking as if he might throw up his insides at any moment.

"Yes, yes I can. It's completely Incongruous that we're sitting on a bus right now on our way to some stupid cross-country meet after what happened. Incongruous." Stiles retorted.

"Okay, we get it." Olivia moaned from the other seat. She leaned her head back against the window and took a deep breath...which kinda poked through her ribs and caused her to start abruptly coughing.

"Out of place, ridiculous, absurd." Scott replied.

"Perfect, next word. Um, Darach-" Stiles paused and looked at them. "It's a noun..."

Scott and Olivia's heads rolled on their shoulders, staring at him as he waited for them to answer his implied question.

He didn't receive an answer other than two annoyed stares that seemed to burn into his soul.

Olivia had talked to Stiles over the phone earlier. Basically their topic of discussion was supernatural human sacrifices. She didn't know what a Darach was doing here in Beacon Hills, but it couldn't be good.
