"What are your plans for the Holidays Planning to head home?"

Blaise had asked her this over breakfast the morning of the last day of the term, giving her a look of concern as she had become awfully quiet when the topic of Winter break was brought up. And honestly, Meredith didn't know.

( Blaise said was going home to his mother's mansion where he would probably hear that his mother had yet again found a new prospective and very wealthy husband. Pansy ( who had grown less hostile towards her as time passed, and even started calling her 'Meredith' instead of 'You there' ) was staying with her uncle's family for the week. Her parents were out of the country. Crabbe was spending Christmas at Goyle's house this year. Draco was returning to the Manor as usual for his annual decorated Christmas affair. )

It had been radio silence from her father since he had dropped her off at King's Cross Station at drove off without turning back other than his letter which she was quite sure was written by his assistant ( her father scratched in an unreadable cursive ) . Hadn't even bothered to tell her how to get to platform nine and three quarters. She hoped that he just didn't know, him being a Dumstrang alumnus, rather than he didn't care. Although, knowing him, she did suspect the latter.
