Meredith was down with the cold at the beginning of March.

It was awful. Most awful Meredith had physically felt in her entire life. Her nose was somehow blocked and running at the same time, reminding her of when they were deep in winter and her nose would not stop running except two times worse. Her head felt like it was full of fuzz and everything just hurt. Funny enough, wizards had an instant cure for broken bones but not for the common cold.

She had tried to go to class that day, dragging herself out of bed and stuffing her nose with as many tissues as it could fit, but Draco had stared at her, disgusted by the amount of fluid she was producing out of her nose, and Snape had sent her right down to Pomfrey, tossing her bag right out with her. Pomfrey had sent her off to bed with some Muggle medicine and a five days excuse letter from her classes. She had begged her for three ( She was taking her O.W.Ls in three months for Merlin's sake! ) but Pomfrey was insistent and threatened that if she caught her in class or even attempting to go to class, she would quarantine her to the Hospital Wing, alone. Meredith shut her mouth and stalked back to the Common Room.
