"You want us to do what?"
Meredith adored her friends. Harry with his hero-complex, Ron with his unwavering loyalty, and Hermione with her wit. She would do just about anything for the three of them. They had accepted her right from the beginning and she would eternally be grateful for that. Distract Umbridge so that they could make their quick escape and avoid another week of horrendous and inhuman detention? Naturally. Join an illegal duelling club with them? She would not even question it. 'Accidentally' trip over Snape in the hallway? She thoroughly enjoyed it. It can be argued that she did it for her own personal pleasure, but she would define it as loyalty.
But this seemed to be pushing the limits a little. Just a tad bit.
If you were to ask Meredith Darling how she would be feeling on the day she completed her O.W.Ls, she would simply say 'relieved'. Thankfully, most of her exams had gone well over the course of the past two weeks ( not the intensive studying into the night, nearly pulling at her hair off, falling asleep in her cereal the next morning, of course ), and she came out of the whole arduous and slightly traumatising experience confident that she was going to do just fine.
