"Do you think that they could get anymore nauseating than that?" Meredith shuddered as the train came to an eventual stop, giving one final steaming whistle to signal their arrival at King's Cross Station.
"I hope not." Harry sighed, wrinkling his nose as he glanced at the little fading heart Lavender had drawn onto their carriage door. Ron, still in a dazed state from his mid-journey rendezvous with said girl, hadn't heard a word of that and hummed cheerfully as he pulled his raggedy trunk from the compartment. Well, at least he was ridiculously happy with her, even if it severely nauseated the rest of of them.
It felt nice to finally catch up with the trio—well, the duo, since Hermione had refused to sit in the same carriage as Ron and had gone in search of Ginny and Luna—after all those weeks of quiet whispers and avoiding her. Harry had told her all about Romilda Vane and her attempt to slip harry a Love Potion ( "I told you she was a complete nutter." ), Dean and Ginny's fights along the length of the Gryffindor common room, and how he was to spend Christmas at the Burrow this year. He had said that Mrs. Weasley had also graciously extended an invitation to 'anyone that I have made a Christmas sweater for' but Meredith had to turn down the generous offer, unable to contain her smile at the fact that she was returning home this year.
