Part 36: awake

Jen's POV:

"Ms. Reid?" The nusre asks. "Your father is here". She tells me. I see my dad walk in "thank you". He says to the nurse. She leaves the room and dad sits in the chair next to me. "It's over, he's locked up. And we're searching for John, he's going to get arrested. Don't worry about that". I take a deep breath of relieve. "What happend to me?" I ask. "Your father poisened you, so he could take you with him easier. " The last part comes out harder, I can see. I grab his hand and squeeze it tightly. "I'm okay dad". I assure him. He nods. "Why didn't you tell me about all this before?" He asks me. "I thought, that I was abused because I was just some useless kid. I've been told that for years. And after what John did, I was just embarrassed." He gets the blanket of my arm, so he can see the wounds I made. And he starts to cry. "I'm so sorry Jen! This is all my fault." He embraces me. And I hug back. He cries on my shoulder, and I cry on his shoulder. And we sit like this for like ten minutes. "I have one more question," he says. "What?" I ask. "Do I call you Jen or Jean?"
