Mizuki's POV

"Alright, that's the last of it.", Papa said, giving me the last container of already sliced brownies.

I took the container and put it in a bag along with the other containers.

"Thanks, Papa!", I smiled at him.

"Now go ahead or you'll be late for morning practice.", he replied.

"I'll take this.", Kei said, grabbing one of the bags.

"Okay, we'll get going now, bye Papa! Love you!", I waved, going out the door.

"Love you too! Have fun at school!", he waved.

I chuckled and adjusted my hold on the bag. I intertwined my hand with Kei's as we walk along the road.

It's Monday now, and as agreed, the assigned bakers of our class will make some samples of desserts. There's 25 students in our class but I wanted to give some to the Volleyball team as well so I baked a lot of extras.

And also the fact that Kei will probably eat more than one brownie.

Besides that, I'll also give some to my Volleyball team for the festival. I'm also planning to bake cheesecakes or mini strawberry shortcakes for the actual festival so we have more variety.

For the Volleyball matches, we haven't heard the schedule of practices yet but I hope we can start right away. I already thought of some combination plays to confuse our opponents.

For the pageant, we're supposed so have a meeting today with all the contestants as a heads up for the challenges or rounds. I heard from Haruka that all of the contestants have a relationship. Either with each other or with someone else. And apparently, only Kei and I, and the 3rd year juniors' representative are the only participants dating each other.

"Hey Kei.", I called.

"Hmm?", he hummed in question.

"I heard that all the participants in the pageant are in a relationship.", I said.

"So?", he asked and I looked at him with a poker face.

"Nothing.", I mumbled, looking down.

He chuckled and let go of my hand before putting his arm on my shoulder, pulling me closer to him.

"I'll answer their questions of how we got together.", he said.

"Can you? I mean, you're publicly saying that you're insecure that's why you rejected me. Isn't that a bit... pride crushing?", I asked in worry.

"I don't care.", he answered, looking down at me.

I was a bit shocked but I smiled softly at him. Then I changed the topic.

"I can't believe even the juniors are in a relationship. It's kinda cute that they're so young.", I said.

"Too young. It's puppy love. It probably won't last.", he replied.

"Kei! You're talking as if you don't have a girlfriend.", I chuckled.

"Relationships are messy, it's their nature. And engaging into that at such a young age, it's foolish. They don't know anything yet, all of it was just intuition and feelings.", he said.

"Well, I guess it IS a bit ignorant. But then again, it could count as experience, we all gotta start somewhere.", I replied. He kept quiet for a while.

"Are you... implying? That since we're each other's first, we won't last?", he asked. I jolted and felt panicked.

"No! Of course not! I'm willing to take this until the end!", I answered seriously and I saw him blush lightly with a shocked expression. "We're both 16. But... we're mature enough. Although it's thrilling to think about marriage and kids, I think we agree that... we should take our time, right?"
