2 days had passed since emily and jacob's little oral sex in his bedroom. after that emily hadn't talked to her boyfriend. she didn't answer his calls nor texts and by that, it made jacob worried sick.
yesterday, sunday, jacob decided to check on his girl to see if something's up and what's making her not responding to him.
when he pulled up infront of the familiar residence, a black car was parked infront of it. he never saw that there but he just assumed it was emily's mom's car.
the brunette then walked up the 3 step stair and to the front door of the house and gently knocked on it.
after several knocks the door opened just five inches and in there was elise peeking, "hey, elise. may i see emily? she's not answering my cal-"
jacob's words was cut off by elise shushing him. "g-get out of here, sweetie. please. you can see her next time. just... just not today. i'm sorry." emily's mom apologized with a hoarse voice, the older woman looked like she's been crying and stressed out.
after she said that, she shut the door on jacob's face.
it didn't help. jacob going to emily's house didn't help. it only made him worry even more, what's with them? why are emily and elise suddenly avoiding him? did he do something wrong?
jacob's mind was blank. the school bell rang signaling it's now recess and it making him realize he was unmindingly staring at the white board in front of the classroom.
he grabbed his things and left the room and made his way to the cafeteria to meet the boys and hopefully, to see emily.
"what's up with you?" mark asked his friend who just slammed his things on the cafeteria table.
jacob explained everything to them from what happened after emily left his house and his visit yesterday. the three feeling sympathetic and funny at the same time. they never ever had seen their friend like this, all dull and down all because of a girl.
"have you seen her around?" he asked as they watched them munch down on their mac n cheese, while he doesn't have the appetite to eat.
"she wears pastel colored outfits. it's easy to spot her in a crowd or place like this." brandon said, all four of them agreeing.
"speaking of emily-" johnny said. almost everyone's head shot up when the cafeteria door swung open revealing emily.
she wasn't in her usual self. she doesn't look cheery, happy and excited and what's really noticing was her outfit.
she was wearing all dark outfit. the hood of her sweater covering her head as she walked towards the counter to get food.
the room went silent, small whispers was the only thing clouding it. emily made her way to the table where jacob and his friends sat.
seconds after that, the cafeteria went back to being loud and jacob's friend started bombarding emily with questions out of worry.
"what happened, emi?" mark asked.
"what's wrong? did someone hurt you?" brandon said.
"you know you can tell us everything, right?" said johnny.
jacob just looked at his girl's face who's looking down and eating when he noticed she was tearing up.
"hey, baby-" he was cut off again by emily's head burying on his chest, jacob's arms snaked around her body and hugged her tight.
the girl was whimpering and sobbing yet jacob doesn't know what happened with her.
"would you mind telling me what happened?" he asked softly as he stroked the small girl's pink hair.
she shook her head no, "i-i'll tell you later j-jakie.. after school.." she stuttered. unable to speak normally because of the crying, jacob's heart cracked.
"let's have a coffee at lawson's cafe, yeah?" jacob whispered. he knows that coffee is a way to calm the girl down. she said she would do everything for a cup of coffee.
jacob's mind was running crazy. millions of possible reasons was running through it.
who the fuck made his precious girl cry?
