"What movie are we seeing?" I asked Embry, Jake, and Quil as I got into the truck
"Facepunch, Jake went and saw it with Bella the other day" Quil said
"Didn't see much of it though, Bella's asshole friend got sick because of it so we had to leave half an hour in" Jake said, rolling his eyes
"Is it bad? Luke is there blood and stuff? I don't do good with blood" I said nervously, remembering the time I cut my finger while cooking one night
"Hell yeah it does! Rated r too! We have to use Sam, Jared, and Paul to get us in!" Embry exclaimed, getting excited
"I don't know if I can watch the movie, if there's blood and stuff, a few weeks ago I cut my finger while making dinner and I passed out at the sight of a little bit of blood" I said
"What do you do when you get your period then?" Quil laughed, the question a little bit uncomfortable for me
"I uh, I haven't gotten my period before" I said uncomfortably
"Seriously? You're almost 16! Aren't girls supposed to get their periods when they're like 12?" Jake asked amused
"Um, some do, I guess I'm just a late bloomer?" I said tentatively, the conversation way to awkward for me
"Hey Quil, remember when Bella was on her period and you asked her what got her panties in a twist?" Embry asked Quil laughing, not paying attention to the road he was driving on
"We don't speak of that moment, Embry, never again. Hey look, we're here, let's go meet the rest of them!" Quil exclaimed, hopping out of the truck before it was even in park
I hesitantly followed Embry and Jake over to a larger group of people waiting outside of the theatre. Everyone that was over at the house before was waiting in the circle, except for Sam.
A few seconds after we got to the circle Sam walked up to us with a bunch of movie tickets in his hands. "Alright, Jared, Paul, you can get your own, and Jared get Kim's too, I'm not paying for you guys" Sam said and Paul and Jared groaned, walking into the theatre
"Em, Jake, Quil, Serena, Embry,and Seth, though I don't think it's appropriate for 14 year olds. It starts in 10 minutes so get whatever snacks you want, but I'm not paying for them" Sam said and the guys, minus Sam, all ran in to the desk
"Come on, I'll show you what the good stuff is!" Kim explained, grabbing my arm and dragging me inside
"Remember, Kim, only 2 boxes of cans for you, we don't want you to have another sugar rush like the last time we went to the movies" Jared warmed Kim and she sighed
"What happened last time?" I asked her curiously
"I may have eaten too much candy and got super hyper and did some crazy stuff" Kim replied sheepishly
"She gave her dog bangs" Jared said joining us in the line to the food desk
"He looked very cute with them, he's a handsome boy" Kim said and Jared smiled lovingly at her
"Yeah, well your dog didn't like them too much, did he" Jared asked her
"No, but he still lives very cute, as always" akin said before leaning up and kissing Jared
When we got to the front of the line Kim ordered all kinds of stuff, like popcorn, candy, and even slushees. "Wow, Kim, you really went all out" I said, helping her carry the food away
"Yeah, well I gotta get you hooked on the good stuff somehow" Kim replied. She had gotten 2 giant popcorns for us, 2 giant slushees, and all types of candy that I've never even heard of
"What even is a sour patch kid anyway?" I asked Kim looking at the box
"They're the best candy in the world, my favorite" Paul said joining us by the wall where we were standing
"No way, Swedish fish are way better" Kim response, sticking her tongue out at Paul
"It's a shame that you wasted one of your two boxes on that monstrosity of a candy" Paul sassed, whipping his imaginary weave
"You guys are both wrong, starbursts are the best, now come on, the movie starts in a minute" Sam said as he walked past us
We followed Sam into what I assumed was the theatre, and sat in 2 rows of chairs. In my row it was Jake, Quil, Embry, Seth, me, and then Paul, and in front of us was Sam, Emily, Kim, and Jared.
As the movie started Paul began snatching handfuls of my popcorn, "don't you have your own?" I whispered to him
"No, I didn't have time" he whispered back
"That's ok, we can share mine, there's no way I'm going to eat this and all the candy Kim got, especially since I've never had any of it"
"You've never had popcorn?"
"The first time I tried it was last Friday at my friend Luke's house, and I didn't eat much because he got a bunch of different snacks from the store for me to try"
"Luke? Who's he?"
"He's my best friend, or was my best friend, but he moved to Canada so I'll never see him again. He did give me his number though so I can text him" I whispered and I heard a small growl come from Paul, "what was that?"
"Nothing, just my stomach, I'm really hungry"
"Here, I'm not going to end up eating a quarter of all of this" I whispered, handing him the box of sour patch kids
As the movie progressed Paul and I started whispering to each other more than paying attention to the actual movie, mostly because it was terrible, but we were talking about our lives.
I looked back at the movie screen at the worst time, a time when there was so much blood I would have passed out if it wasn't for me pressing my face into Paul's shoulder.
"Is it over?" I whispered and Paul laughed
"Yeah it's over, maybe we should leave. There's still an hour left and I know for a fact that there is more bloody scenes coming" he whispered back
"No, it's ok, I can handle it"
