I was wrong, I couldn't handle it. The blood was too much for me, and I ended up with my face pressed into Paul's shoulder longer then I had actually watched the movie.
After the movie was over I rushed out of the theatre and into the bathroom where I dry heaved into one of the toilets. "Oh honey, I thought you didn't have a fever anymore" Emily said coming into the stall with me and rubbing my back
"I'm not, it's the blood!" I responded
"What blood? Are you bleeding? Do you need a bandaid?" She asked, standing up
"No from the movie! The blood from the movie! I don't do blood!"
"Aww sweetie, you'll be alright. Now come on, the guys are waiting in the lobby and I'm sure they're hungry"
"Ok, just give me a minute"
"Take your time sweetie" Emily said still rubbing my back
"Ok, I'm ok now, let's go" I said and we stood up, leaving the bathroom
"Hey, you ok?" Sam asked me when Emily and I reached the group
"Yeah, still just a little sick" I replied
"Hey! Let's go eat! I'm starving!" Jared called and the rest of the guys agreed
We all got into separate cars then went to a restaurant in the neighboring town to Forks. "Hi, we need a table for 10 I think" Sam sad walking up to a lady at a podium thing
"Alright, for a party of your size it'll be a 20 to 30 minute wait time. I can give you a buzzer and it'll buzz when your table is ready. You can wait in the waiting area or outside" the lady said and Sam nodded, taking a circle thing from her
"Let's go wait outside since there's a lot of us" Sam said returning to our group. We followed him outside and to the side wall where the guys all started messing around with each other.
"Come sit down with me over there!" Kim exclaimed leading me over to a bench.
"Ok, what town are we in?" I asked her as Emily sat down with us
"We're in Port Angeles, it's about an hour away from home" Emily replied
"Hey, what do you think of Paul?" Kim asked suddenly
"Um, he's nice, it was really kind of him to let me stay in his home last week, and to take care of me while I was sick" I responded, racking my brain for things he did for me while I was at his house
"Do you like him?" Kim asked with a smile on her face
"Yeah, like I said, he's nice to me" I replied
"No, like do you like like him!" She pressed on, smiling even bigger
"Um, I don't know? How do you like like somebody?" I asked the two
"You don't know how to like somebody?" Emily asked
"I know how to like somebody, I liked Luke a lot!" I exclaimed
A growl for a few feet away caused us to look over to where the guys were. Paul looked really angry and the rest of them were trying to calm them down.
"I wonder what happened" I said, still watching the guys
"Did you, you know, date Luke?" Kim asked me
"No! He's my best friend! But he moved to Canada so I'm never going to see him again" I said sadly, feeling tears form in my eyes
Emily and Kim shared a look before Emily wrapped her arms around me, "Listen, sweetie, you have a whole group of us here now that are your friends. I know that we can't replace the bond that you had with Luke but we can try, right?"
"Yeah! We can go shopping tomorrow! It'll be so much fun!" Kim exclaimed
"All of us?" I asked, my eyes widening
"No, not all of us, just you, me, Emily, and maybe Leah. She's kinda closed off but she's nice when you get to know her!" Kim exclaimed again, laughing at my question
"Hey! Come on! We got buzzed!" Embry called, rushing to get inside
Once we were all sat down a guy began taking our drink orders, "and for you sweet thang?" He asked Kim and a growl came from Jared's throat
"A sprite please" Kim said quietly as Jared put his arm over her shoulder.
"Why did Jared growl?" I whispered to Seth, leaning over to talk into his ear
"Oh, uh, he's just really protective over her, something about what happened to her in the past and stuff" he whispered back
"Oh, ok, what's good here? I've never been"
"Um, it really depends if you want bone in or boneless, and then if you like spicy food or not"
"What's the difference?"
"The difference of what? The bone in and boneless? They taste different for each type of seasoning and stuff"
"Um, what do you get?"
"I get boneless Caribbean jerk, but those are kinda spicy if it's your first time getting them. Do you like spice?"
"I mean, kind of, is there like a medium spice?"
"That's basically what I get"
"Oh, um, maybe the honey barbecue, are those good?"
"Oh yeah, those are great! I get those whenever I'm really hungry!"
"What's blue cheese?"
"You don't know what blue cheese is?"
"No, is it colored?"
"No, it looks like ranch. I get them with my wings so you can try it to see if you like it, and if you do you can get it next time because we come here a lot"
"Ok, is ranch good?"
"You've never had ranch?"
"My fake parents were really strict, I couldn't have candy, drink pop, have any sugar, or any condiments, no ice cream, cake, cookies, I've never had wings, or meat in that case because they made me be vegetarian"
"I am so sorry, you lived a horrible life, I'll tell you what, why don't you come hang out with me in a few days and we can eat whatever you want to try!"
"That sounds like a lot of fun, Seth, thanks! I'm looking forward to it!"
