Rainbow's POV.

                --Next morning--

I opened my eyes as i take in my surrounding; I'm still in my night gown which means Ben didn't come back home or he came back and Hunter decided not to wake me up.

Sitting up from the bed, i check the clock by my nightstand and the time reads 9:00Am. (Sighs) I overslept? That's a first. I guess i was more tired than i thought.

A delicious smell penetrate my nose as i made my way out of the room. But i as i remember yesterday's event, that delicious smell was replaced by a bitter taste in my mouth.

The door alarm goes off as i'm trying to put on my robe, seeing as i was only in my night gown right now. I put on my robe hurriedly while making my way out of the room towards the doorway, but Hunter had already beat me to it, because i heard him exchanged greetings with whoever ever was at the door.

Before i could start wondering who was at the door, i heard a female voice saying. "I'm guessing you're the cousin i heard about?" Wait a minute! Mama? What's she doing here? It will take at least eight hours of nonstop driving from chesterfield to get her, because its like three towns away.

Hunter laughs awkwardly while scratching the back of his neck as he goes to take the small luggage box from her. Mama rushed towards me the moment her eyes landed on me with both arms wide while saying.

"Oh Rainbow my baby! Why didn't you tell me about the abuse and miscarriage?" I froze at her words. I couldn't speak as she embraced me and started crying uncontrollably. How did she find out?

Mama had calmed down from crying but i'm still in a daze about how she found out. "How much do you know? Who told you about it? " I asked her with trembling voice.

She takes a step back from me as we both wipe tears away from our eyes. "Your husband dear."Benjamin?  He called her? But why?

"He came over this morning and told me everything" Mama says while glancing between Hunter and i.

"Ben is in Chesterfield?" I couldn't help but ask out loud. "He was in Chesterfield baby; we parted ways here at the airport." I can't believe he went there! Its no wonder we couldn't find him here last night. How did he leave town with that much rain?

"Baby you're husband came to the house, first thing this morning looking like he hadn't eaten or had a decent bath in weeks. You wouldn't believe how terrified i was, i thought something had happened to you. He told me everything from the beginning Bow. From his childhood to last night."

Wait! what? "His childhood? But he said he couldn't remember." Mama looks at me warily before gesturing to the couch and say. "You might wanna sit down for this."

I paid attention to every single detail as mama recounts my husband's childhood experience without blinking. I'm afraid i might miss an important detail by blinking. I'm horrified by the words coming out her mouth to say the least. Everything is sounding so surreal to me right now; this are the type of things people read and watch in movies.

"And he said he couldn't handle the nightmares and the voices anymore; that's when he snapped. And well...you know the rest." She concluded her story and i couldn't help but sob silently. How could a father do that to his own son? Mama just embraced me while i sob on her shoulder.

I don't know how long we stayed in that position but my sobbing has reduced to silent hiccups. Hunter must have left at some point because i don't see him sitting where he was before.

Just as I'm thinking about him, i spot him heading back into the house with three other people. Two of which i don't recognize or have ever seen before and Aaron? Relief washes through me as i see a familiar face among those three people and i stand up quickly while walking towards them.

"Hello! Good morning gentlemen; good to see Aaron." I tried not to make it too obvious about what i needed to ask but i think he already knows that, because he says. "Ben sent me." He tries to smile while saying that but i can tell its not from his heart.

Whatever it is must be really bad right? The Aaron i know can never muster a stern demeanor unless he's in the court room. Then again no one loves being a bearer of bad news.

Aaron gestures towards the dinning area with his hand; we all took our sits as Aaron introduces  his colleagues and explain their reasons for being here.

"I don't understand...Ben wouldn't do something like this. He couldn't right? You're his best friend Aaron; can't you talk him out of this?"  I asked him.

Aaron looks at me sadly before saying. "I tried talking him out of this trust me. You know i would never let him do something like this. But as his lawyer, i'm afraid there's nothing i can do right now. He met with these two people before me, that's actually why i came...i'm not in charge of the case Bow."

That's it? he doesn't even have the decency to discuss this with me face to face? I deserve better than this after everything he has put me through, Surly he doesn't expect me to sign this divorce papers silently  and call it a day right?
