A new day
●▬▬▬▬▬๑⇩⇩๑▬▬▬▬▬●As the sun rose over the horizon, the lucky crew began settling into the longship. The docks filled with men huddling belongings or hauling supplies into the ship's lower deck, others readying the sails, and cleaning the floors.
Shoto was currently altering the Captain's Quarters to his liking, adding his own personal items or trinkets to give it a better feel. One of these items being a picture of his mother, resting on his nightstand which he spent time examining. A small smile creeping up his lips as he recalled the fond memories they held together, smiling in content.
He was taken out of these thoughts when a knock came from the door, causing Shoto to place the picture back down. The prince stepping up to unlock the wooden door, welcoming a familiar blue-haired elf.
"My prince! I came to report that we'll be setting off shortly, Aizawa and Hizashi will be overseeing the wheel and the others have already been appointed their positions. The Drache group is settled in the Capstan testing out the cannons and other artillery." Iida declared sternly, maneuvering his hands whilst he spoke.
"Thanks for the status report Iida, I guess we should relax for now until we reach the destination?" Shoto said, his tone coming off as more of a question. Being trapped in a restricted space for about a week leads to not many activities to do, which Shouto was pleased to hear.
Compared to the draining activities when he was home, it was always delightful to just do nothing and be cozy in his own little bubble. Which is how he spent his time throughout the five-day trip, mostly huddled in his room to avoid most interactions like a hermit.
However, he'd occasionally be found talking to his advisors or getting to know his new crewmates. He also found the Drache group more interesting than what they originally entailed, the redhead and the one called Kaminari told him numerous tales of their homeland and history. A certain story which took Shoto's interest, was when Bakugo and Kirishima encountered a strange mage who turned them into a 'meatball' they called it, and how it was up to Kaminari to save them.
Time flew by quickly, with Shoto sometimes in the Crew's Quarters enjoying drinks and other fascinating stories of other's adventures. Even Iida spoke of the time he combated against a deadly assassin to protect his brother, emphasizing how he nearly made it out which is very true. Shoto remembers when he went to check on Iida who was littered with countless scars, but not as worst as his brother who became paralyzed by the incident. That was when Iida was ordered to work for King Enji for his own protection and to further is combat skills, living up to his brother's ideals.
The Iida family may not have been the rulers of the westerlands, but had high-rankings in the elven society. They were famous for their advancements in potion making, able to make elixirs which can boast someone's speed and agility immensely.
____________Though after the journey progressed, the fun and joyous times came to a sharp halt once the ship stumbled upon a dense towering fog, accompanied by rocks protruding from the ocean's surface as if it wasn't ominous enough there were remnants of wrecked ships on the outskirts of it.
Shoto stood on the edge of the ship, in order to inspect the scene further. The rocks which protruded our from the ocean were oddly built as each one seemed as though it was sharpened purposefully. It reminded him of a pen that was used to hold cattle, though in this case, it was the other way around. Even the waters seemed darker than usual as if it was hiding something below.
The crew shared a tense moment, the realization of them finally reaching Moonshire Bay. Aizawa soon ordered the anchor to be set and assembled them on the main deck for one last speech before they continued.
