"Hey Pope." I say gently causing him to look at Me.

"Mia." He says as he looks at me shocked.

"I'm sor-" I start but he cuts me off pulling me into a hug causing kie to smile.

"Dont apologise." He says as he pulls away.

"I never of thought of it from your point of view. Hows your neck and stuff?" He asks as he nods to my neck.

"It hurts but it'll be alright." I say with a smile.

"So, Kie. You coming?" Asks Pope.

"No. Ummm.....I think I'm going to stay here." She says awkwardly causing me and Pope to look at each other.

"Why?" Asks Pope confused.

"Umm....cause Mia needs me." Kie lies.

"I'm fine." I say.

"Mia can come." Pope says at the same time.

"No, just tell John b I'm not coming." She says before going back to painting as Pope leaves.

"Alright, spill." I say as I leave against the counter.

"What?" Asks Kie.

"What happened?" I ask as I notice her strange behaviour.

"John b kissed me, okay." She says as she looks at me.

"Holy shit. Wow." I laugh causing her to glare at me.

"Its not funny." She says causing me to laugh even more.

"It kind of is. So what the problem?" I ask fiddling with the rag in my hand.

"I don't like him like that." She states just as someone enters.

"Um...Hey, uh what--what are you doing?" Asks John b as he looks at Kie before he looks at me.

"Mia?" He asks shocked.

"Yeah that's her and what does it look like?" Asks Kie as she looks at him.

"Spackling can wait. We're--we're about to make history." John b says as he leans against the bar next to me.

"Are you working?" He asks as he looks me up and down.
