" How are they? " I asked with a hopeful looked on my face.
" Mhhhmm! Such a gentle flavour. . . " He said then blurted out the words that made me red in the face. " I wonder if the flavour's gentle because you're a gentle person. "
Lord Tsukasa's face radiated contentment as he continued to eat.
' Wow. . . '
His beatific expression made my heart leap in my chest.
I haven't seen a genuine smile from him since I explained the truth about my Identity.
I thought maybe I had stolen away that beautiful smile forever.
' I count myself lucky to have seen it again. . . "
Lord Tsukasa's happiness was contagious ; just seeing him in this state made me happy, too.
Unaware of my rapt gaze, he polished off the donuts with impressive speed.
" Ahhhh~ Thank You. They were truly delicious~ I will tell all about this to Amane~ ahahahaha ! ! " He was laughing with a mischievous looks on his eyes when he mentioned to tell about donuts to Lord Amane.
" . . . Okay then, I'd better be off. "
With an awkward grin, he attempted to stand up from his seat.
I looked at him as my heart kept on clenching. ' He's going already. No! please- "
" Wait . . . " I clapped a hand over my mouth, not meaning to contradict him but unable to stop myself.
Lord Tsukasa brightens up when he saw the state I am in.
" I'll be back again. " He said.
" Really?! "
The sinking feeling inside of me instantly soars. I flashed him an excited grin.
Lord Tsukasa's eyes widen,
" . . . ! That smile! " he said out loud.
I am quite taken back when I heard his sudden loud voice. " Wha? "
" U-um, er. . . I just . . . your smile . . . I got to see . . . "
While he chewed on his sentences, his cheek grow progressively more crimson. My own cheek heat up as well.
' In other words . . . Lord Tsukasa was thinking the exact same thing I was?! ' I thought to myself again.
" Oh, well, um. . . "
I looked around but not at the man in front of me as my face becoming more and more red.
" Right, yeah . . . It is really hot in here! " he said.
This is the first time I see Lord Tsukasa ducked his head to avoid me, seeing how embarassed he was, but the scene leaves me both happy and hopeful.
