(Seina's POV)
It was an unusually cold winter in Tokyo and every student was turning up to school bundled in the heaviest coats money could buy. Luckily Tamaki-senpai had a plan to make this work in his favour and had invested in a large number of Kotatsu to furnish the host club, rather than the usual sofas and coffee tables. Guests and hosts alike were snuggled up underneath, content with toasty warm feet. All except the host club's live in miser of course.
'Hey Kyoya!' I called to said miser, summoning him to my side.
'What?'
'Sit with me.'
'Seina those are not cohesive to a working environment. They make you warm and drowsy. I need a sharp mind to concentrate.'
'Kyoya. Sit down.' He sighed and gave in, lowering himself to the floor. 'Shoes off! You'll get it dirty!'
'Seina-'
'Shoes!' Another pained sigh as he put his shoes neatly to one side.
'Happy?' I nodded and went back to writing my essay. I pushed my feet against his under the table, pleased just to have him there.
'I'd like a kotatsu in our home.' I said not looking up from my page.
When he remained silent I glanced up to see him staring at me, a faint blush colouring his cheeks. 'Our home.' He repeated.
'Our home.'
Slowly he smiled. 'If you would like one then we'll have one.'
'Good.' We sat quietly for a while, writing in our respective notebooks.
Then he spoke again. 'Seina did you want something when you called me over here?'
'Maybe I just wanted to spend some quality time with my fiancé.'
'I very much doubt that.'
I sighed, fiddling with my pen. 'Do your family celebrate Christmas?'
'Of course not. A Christian holiday placed by the Romans to cover up a pagan festival that now has connotations of love and family. Does that sound like something my father would celebrate?'
My heart sunk a little in my chest. 'But the new adverts for your family's leisure facilities feature Christmas decorations.'
He pushed his glasses up his nose. 'Well, of course. Christmas may not be worth my father's personal time but it is very popular with the general populace. To ignore the holiday even in a non-Christian country would be foolish.'
I made a face at him. 'Well, if that is how you feel, never mind. I'm going to the library.'
'Seina?' Without another word I got to my feet and retrieved my things, slipping my shoes back on as I walked.

As I exited the Host Club I walked straight into Hikaru who was running down the corridor, Kaoru quick on his heels. 'Ah! Oh Seina! It's you!'
'It's snowing!' Kaoru interrupted with obvious excitement. 'Come see!'
Exasperated I allowed myself to be dragged outside to one of the covered areas of the courtyard. 'See!' They were right. Huge flakes of snow were spiralling down towards the ground and sticking fast. If it continued to fall, as the heavy grey clouds suggested it would, then the ground would be covered in no time.
'Care for a snowball fight Seina?' Hikaru asked, grinning as he started brushing the dusting of snow onto his gloved hands.
'Perhaps when there is enough snow on the ground for that to be possible.' I continued to stare out at the sky. 'You guys like Christmas right?'
'Of course we do. You know we do. What's not to like?'
'I don't know...are you guys free for Christmas Eve this year?'
Kaoru frowned at me. 'Always for you Seina but we presumed you would be spending it with Kyoya-senpai this year?'
'Don't make presumptions.'
'Seina are you ok?'
'Of course.' I said forcing a smile to my face. 'Just trying to plan ahead. I'll see you guys later.' Before either could respond I headed off towards the library.

(Kaoru's POV)
As soon as Seina disappeared from sight I made a beeline for the Host Club. Hikaru frowned at me like a petulant child. 'Where are we going? It's snowing!'
'We need to talk to Kyoya-senpai.'
'About?'
'Their plans for Christmas. It will be their first Christmas since they got engaged.'
'But she said-'
'Exactly.'
We marched straight into the club room, bypassing Tamaki-senpai's enthusiastic holiday greetings and headed for Kyoya-senpai. To my great surprise, we found him sat under one of the Kotatsu, his shoes beside him. 'Uh, Kyoya-senpai we need to talk to you.'
'Oh really? About what?'
'Seina.'
'That hardly seems necessary.'
'You hurt her feelings. Fix it.'
'Or we could just kill him like we promised.' Hikaru suggested in a bored tone.
'Hikaru.'
'What!? We did.'
'If you two will excuse me I have work to do.'
'Kyoya-senpai. Christmas is Seina's favourite thing in the world and she wanted to spend it with you.'
He looked up then, a startled expression on his face. 'But she didn't-'
'Let me guess Seina brought up Christmas in a conversational manner and you shut her down before she had chance to draw breath?' His slight scowl confirmed my suspicions as well as any verbal response could. 'Fix it.'
