It was a new day of a new year. A new day of a rather special year.

As the sun was rising, three Galacticans made their way to the building in front of them that was the Galactic Heavens Headquarters.

One of them was a brown haired boy with his hair tied up in a small ponytail. He had navy blue eyes, and he held a clipboard in his hand, with a pencil behind his ear. A small, brown messenger bag rested on his shoulder.

Another was a tall woman with dark blackish-brown hair. Unlike the other two, she seemed to be occupied, talking on her phone to some woman called Vanessa.

The third was a woman with long white curls. She had sharp, calculating green eyes, and looked like she was currently thinking about something.

As the three reached the entrance of the Galactic Heavens Headquarters, the white haired woman took a set of keys out of her pocket. Unlocking the door, she opened it and stepped inside, with the other two following behind her.

They walked down all the corridors silently, and upon reaching a door with engravings on it, they stopped.

The white haired woman turned to the brown haired boy. "Ophiuchus, do you have the keys?"

"Yes Ma'am, they're here somewhere." The brown haired boy, Ophiuchus, opened his small messenger bag. He retrieved a small golden key, which he used to unlock the door. The door opened with a click!

As they stepped inside the room, the woman with blackish-brown hair turned to make sure that no one was following them. After being sure that they were alone, she shut the door.

The room was dark and cold, the only source if light being an orb in the center of the room. The orb, which floated on top of a marble pedestal, glowed a bright, pearl white light.

"Well, this is it." The dark haired woman spoke. "Another century has passed, and it is time for the Galaxy Orb to choose twelve or thirteen new Zodiac Guardians."

The white haired woman nodded. "Let's hope that these new Zodiac Guardians have the same potential as last century's did."

"And hopefully the fire sign guardians don't decide to have another BBQ in the middle of the Astronomia Town Square." Ophiuchus added, shuddering at the memory. "It took a long tine to replace that large half that they burnt down."

"Enough chatter." said the white haired woman sharply. "Ru, if you could do the honors."

Ru, the dark haired woman, stepped forwards to touch the Galaxy Orb. The orb began to glow brighter, showering the entire room in a ray of light. The three Galacticans shielded their eyes from the light.

As the light died down, a holographic map appeared on top of the Galaxy Orb. Strangely, it was not the map of the Galactic Heavens, but the map of a strange planet.

The white haired woman was the first to look back at the Galaxy Orb. Her eyes widdened in shock.

"What is this?" She asked.

Ru and Ophiuchus both looked at the floating holographic map.

Ophiuchus examined the map. "This is strange. I've never seen the Galaxy Orb do this before."

"Look!" Ru pointed at the map. "There are symbols!"

Sure enough, symbols appeared on the map. The symbols were of the zodiac signs, and they were scattered across the map.

Ru turned to the white haired woman. "What do you think is going on, Kynigòs?"

The white haired woman, Kynigòs, stayed silent, instead diverting her attention to a small set of words at the bottom left corner of the map.

𝓔𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓱
𝓜𝓲𝓵𝓴𝔂 𝓦𝓪𝔂
𝓘𝓷 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓢𝓸𝓵𝓪𝓻 𝓢𝔂𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓶
𝓣𝓱𝓲𝓻𝓭 𝓟𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓮𝓽 𝓕𝓻𝓸𝓶 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓢𝓾𝓷

"Terra..." Kynigòs muttered under her breath.

Ru seemed to have heard it. "Are you saying that this is a map of Terra?"

Kynigòs said nothing. Turning to Ophiuchus, she said, "I think the Galaxy Orb is telling us that the Zodiac Guardians are on Terra. Prepare the shuttle. And take this."

She touched the holographic map. A smaller version of it appeared, floating over to Ophiuchus.

"You'll know them when you see them." She added as Ophiuchus sprinted away.

Ru nudged Kynigòs with her elbow. "You know how us Galacticans are able to see a zodiac symbol floating above them? Will the new Zodiac Guardians be able to see them if they're from Terra?"

"I don't know." Kynigòs replied. "I hope Ophiuchus can find a way to bring them here without any suspicions."

"Oh, I wouldn't worry about Ophiuchus." Ru assured her. "He's a smart boy, he can do it. Let's just hope that everything goes smoothly."

There wasn't supposed to be a prologue because this bit was actually a part of chapter one, but I ended up making chapter one really really long, so I moved this here so chapter one doesn't become an eyesore to read (it kind of is but oh well)

Just to clarify: the Zodiac Guardians WILL show up in the first chapter.

And those things at the top are a friendly reminder to me (and maybe y'all as well) about where everything is and when it is set.

The Galactic Heavens observes the Julian Calendar (you can Google it if you want), and I'm writing the date in Latin. Since I do not know Latin, I have to do research. If someone here does know some Latin and would like to correct me in my Latin date writing, go ahead!

(FYI, the date says "1st of January 2020 A.D.")

As for the "Astronomia District" bit you see, the Galactic Heavens is split into several districts. More on that will come up later in the book. I will also probably draw a map. I don't know if I will, but I might.

Well, thanks for reading! Have a good day/night, and stay safe!

Peace out,

Confusion owo

P.S. It's 11pm but I still wanted to post this haha
