AN: SORRY FOR BEING GONE! I'M BCK NOW. I HAD FAMILY DRAMA BUT I'M BACK AND HERE TO STAY NOW ONWARD!!!!

Marinette woke up in the middle of the night. She couldn't go back to sleep, so she went for a walk. She snuck out the window and left Tikki and her earrings. Just in case she got mugged and wasn't able to transform. She sighed and slipped down the tall oak tree by her window. She hissed at the splinters in her fingers and ripped them out. She wiped the blood off on her pants and hopped over the Manor gates. She knew the sensors already found her, but she didn't care. She ran as fast as she could down the street. She scaled the fire escape up to the top of the nearest building and stared out at the lights of the city. Warm arms wrapped around her waist and she leaned her head back onto Robin's chest.

"I'm sorry for being so rude earlier. I was mad at Jason, and I took it out on you, You were just trying to protect me, but I don't need protection." She spoke softly, as if she were afraid he would run away. He buried his face in her hair and spoke quietly in her ear.

"It's ok. I went too far with the GPS chip. And I shouldn't have shoved you into the car like that. I couldn't sleep." she giggled.

"Me neither. That's why I came out here to look out at the city. To breathe." She felt his breath on the back of her neck and she shivered.

"Are you cold? Here take my cape." she tried to refuse but he dropped the cape over her shoulders without another word and pulled her close. She buried her face in his chest, taking in the familiar scent and sighed. She was relaxed. She looked up at his face and tugged at the mask and pouted when it stayed. He chuckled.

"I wanna see your eyes. I'm looking into just whiteness." She whined, still tugging at the mask.

"I know habibti, but I can't. I'm officially on patrol." Marinette shifted on her feet and Damian could feel the tension. "What's wrong? I thought you talked it out with your brother." He looked at her face that didn't change. "Come on. You can tell me. What's going on Mari?" her bones went rigid, and she closed her eyes really tight and mumbled something. He placed a hand on her cheek. She was still. "Marinette." worry overtook him and she looked up. Bluebell eyes filled with fear.

"I- I love you. Too much for my own good." he was silent. A million thoughts went through his head. He was frozen in shock. I love you too my habibti. So bloody much. He couldn't get the words out. The cape dropped from her shoulders with a loud thud. Her eyes filled with tears and she jumped. She landed in a roll on the road in front of them. She dashed down the street. He was still frozen in shock.

Marinette ran past crime alley, into an old abandoned warehouse. She broke down and hugged her knees to her chest. A headache began to rise in the back of her head and she gripped at her hair, sobbing. She felt someone walk in, but she could care less. Pain erupted in her shoulder. She felt like she was going to vomit and pass out. Spots overcame her vision and the floor swayed beneath her feet. She fell to the ground and fell asleep.

Damian got back to the cave in a sweaty, emotional mess. He felt nauseous. His dinner was lost shortly later. He ran a hand through his sweaty hair and ripped the mask off his face. He banged his head up against the wall until he heard a loud crack from it.

"Damian, what happened?" Dick sat down next to him and handed him a different bucket, as a precaution. Damian took a long, shaky, breath.

"I- I love her. I wanted to tell her that, I tried to tell her that - that I felt the same way, if not more but I- I just stood there like a coward." he choked out, Emptying his stomach into the bucket. Dick rubbed his back and passed him a towel.

"Lil D, where did she go?" Damian tugged at his hair.

"She ran away. And I stood there like an asshole." Dick pulled him into a hug and he cried into the man's shirt, for over an hour. Dick kept reassuring him. His phone rang. It was Marinette. Damian fumbled to answer. "Marinette! Where are you? Are you ok? I'm so sorry-" she cut him off. Her voice was wobbly. It sounded forced and tired.

"It's over. I can't do this." Damian felt his heart shatter into a million pieces. A knot formed in his stomach.

"Marinette, I didn't mean what I said, please, just hold on. Where are you?" he heard a familiar psychotic laugh through the speakers.

"Wow Wayne. Your girlfriend just dumped you over the cell phone. Guess that won't bring a smile to your face." Damian froze.

"Where the fuck are you, you sociopathic clown" Damian questioned in a barely controlled voice. The only response was a terrifying laugh from the other end. He heard a scream of pain on the other end. His face paled.

"10 million if you want her alive Wayne. She's a nice little playtoy. I might keep her permanently. Just listen to how saced she sounds." Damian heard a choked sob over the line. He gripped his phone tighter.

"When and where?" Damian heard the laugh and the line died.
