Forth's pov:

After i was done eating mom took the tray and put it on the nightstand.

After that, she came back and sat on the bed and held my hands gently.

"Can you tell us what happened to you?" She asked.

I didn't know where to start. I knew i didn't have to be scared for my safety anymore but the memories were so painful. My voice refused to come out.

I could feel phana rubbing small circles on my back. But my body refused to stop shaking. My eyesight started getting blurry and tears streamed down my face.

"Stop. Don't think about it. It's ok. You don't have to force yourself." Phana pulled me into his embrace and i buried my face in his neck and inhaled his scent. I couldn't stop the sobs that escaped my lips.

I could feel mom rubbing my hands gently trying to calm me down.

"I-I'm so-sorry...It-it's too pain-f-ful...I-i c-can't..." I managed to get out in between sobs.

"It's ok. You didn't do anything wrong. We'll take it slow. You don't need to force yourself." Phana assured me.

I could feel kai getting worried.

I'm sorry.... If only i was able to break that seal... I'm sorry i couldn't protect you... He whined sadly.

No there was nothing you could have done... Don't apologise. I'm not angry at you.

After around 20 minutes i was finally able to calm down.

Phana let go of me slowly. He reached out his hands and wiped my tears. I looked at mom and saw that she was crying as well.

"Why are you crying?" I asked her softly.

"I'm crying because you're in so much pain. I can't imagine what kind of monsters they are. How could they do such horrible things to you? An alpha is supposed to protect his pack members. And you are his son. How could..." She cried.

I reached out and wiped her tears. " Please don't cry. I feel bad for making you cry."

"you're worried about me even though you're the one who's in pain." she smiled after wiping all her tears.

I could feel phana pecking my hair softly. His arm was still wrapped around my waist. A small smile made its way on to my face.

For the first time in my life, i felt warm, loved and safe.

Just then the door opened and phana's dad came in.

He had a serious expression on his face. I could feel my anxiety rising.

When he saw me looking at him anxiously, his expression softened. And a smile formed on his face.

"Seems like you already won my wife and son's hearts." He came and sat down on the bed next to mom.

"I'm guessing you already know who i am." He said.

I nodded. I opened my mouth to say alpha but he cut me off.

"You can just call me dad. I know you were going to say alpha but that sounds too formal for my son's mate to be calling me." He smiled warmly.

I smiled.

"Can i ask you something?" His expression changed to a serious one.

I nodded hesitantly.

"I talked to your pack members and they said you can't shift. Do you have any idea why that is?" he asked.

"It was because of some seal." I answered.

A frown formed on all three of their faces.

"Seal?" Phana asked.

"Yeah. I didn't know about it either but i could always feel my wolf's presence. I knew he was there but i could feel that there was something stopping him from reaching me." I explained.

Dad nodded.

"You said "was". What do you mean by that? "Mom spoke up after a few moments.

" The moment phana accepted me as his mate, i could hear chains breaking and my wolf screaming that he was finally free. My wounds also started healing faster after that." I said.

" So does that mean you can shift now?" Phana asked.

Can i? I asked kai.

Yes you can. But it's going to be a bit painful since you've never shifted before. He answered.

" I can." i told them.

" Ok. I'll investigate more and find out what this seal was about. You should get some rest." Dad said after a few moments.

With that he and mom left the room leaving me and phana alone.

I turned to him and he smiled warmly at me.

" You can just call me pha. No need to use my full name. " he said.

" you're older than me though. So should i call you p'pha?" i asked.

He blinked a few times. "How old are you?"

"20." I answered.

"Just call me pha then. Don't make me feel old." He pouted.

I chuckled.

His eyes suddenly went blank. He turned towards the door and smiled.

Is someone else coming?

"My best friends said they want to meet you. Is that ok?" He turned to me.

I looked down at my arms. Then i looked up at him.

"Don't worry they won't judge you. These scars are not your fault. But if you still feel uncomfortable i can lend you one of my jackets." He said.

" I would prefer to wear a jacket." I said softly.

He got off the bed and went to the walk in closet. He came back with a black hoodie jacket. After i finished wearing it, he mid linked his friends again.

A few minutes later, the door opened revealing four guys who looked around my age. Two of them were shorter but they I could tell they were my age.

"Hey. It's nice to meet you. My name is Ming. I'm the pack beta's son. This is my mate kit." the tallest of them of them spoke up. I could tell he was a beta.

"I'm Beam. This is my mate Yo." The other one who was only a few inches shorter than Ming said. He was an alpha.

"I'm Forth." I smiled.

We spent the next hour making small talk and getting to know each other. Ming and Beam would tell me stupid things Pha  did when they were kids. Pha would then tell the things they did. And kit and yo would join in by telling the things they do now when they are alone.

I couldn't stop laughing with them. They had so much fun when they were kids. i was kinda envious of them. But i brushed that feeling off and decided to just enjoy my time with them.

"Ok ok i think we have talked enough. Forth needs to rest. We can talk more some other time. " Pha said after a while.

After they left, Kai Spoke up.

Forth i also want to meet my mate. He asked.

I turned to pha. "Kai wants to meet his mate."

"Your wolf?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Of course. Zen also wants to meet him." He smiled.

I closed my eyes and let kai take over. Pha had also let zen take over. His eyes were now silver.
