The guardian

Chapter 30

Pha's pov:

I was lying in bed staring at the ceiling blankly when someone appeared on the balcony. 

I immediately shot up. 

It was a man. He looked really pale, had gold eyes and had white hair. He was wearing white clothes with gold stripes. 

I could tell he was not weak even though he was so pale. 

I turned to the person in his arms.

Forth! Zen yelled.

"Are you going to let us in or are we going to have to sleep out here tonight?" The man asked.

I immediately recognised the voice. 

Kai!

I quickly ran to the door and opened it letting them in.

Kai walked to the bed and placed Forth on it. He then covered him with the duvet upto his chest.

His clothes were burned on his left side. 

"Kai? What..." I walked towards them. 

"I'll explain everything later. But can i rest for now? I'm kind of tired. And it'll be better to talk when he's awake as well." He pointed to Forth. 

I nodded. 

He changed into his wolf form and snuggled close to Forth. He closed his eyes and relaxed. 

I aslo got into bed beside Forth. I snuggled close to him and closed my eyes. 

Before long, i had fallen into a deep slumber.

When i woke up, it was already midday. The sun was shining brightly.

I looked to my side and saw Forth and Kai were still fast asleep.

I propped myself up on my elbow and gently ran my fingers through Forth's hair.

He's really here. Safe and sound.

A small smile made it's way onto my face.

Tears of relief streamed down my face.

Forth started shuffling and slowly opened his eyes. He blinked a few times before turning to look at me.

"Good morning." He smiled.

"It's already midday." I hugged him tightly.

I could hear him chuckle.

"I'm so glad you're safe." I said softly after a while. "I thought my heart would stop when kai told me you were in hell."

He took my hands and held them firmly.

"I'm right here. I promised i would come back. I don't make promises i can't keep." He said.

I buried my face in his chest.

I felt kai slowly shuffle.

I looked up.

He opened his eyes and blinked a few times.

You're awake. He smiled at Forth.

"Yeah." He smiled back.

How do you feel?

"A little weak but not that bad."

Of course you feel weak. You almost died.
