2.8 [not really] sick

YOUR POV

T U E S D A Y

I was lounging around in the living room waiting before I set off for school when my foot hit something underneath the couch.

Curious, I bend over to see a white, leather pencil case. Then I notice a small tag: PROPERTY OF K. SEOKJIN

He must've accidentally left it last week when we were working on the project together. I slipped it into my bag and decided to give it to him in school.

As I sit in class, I realize Seokjin is absent. Then I remember he's been absent since last Friday.

After class the teacher called me to the front and handed me a a brown envelope.

"You and Seokjin seem close," she says, "why don't you stop by his house to give this to him? He doesn't really talk to anyone else as much as you."

The last bit of her sentence tells me that even teachers notice his lack of sociability.

"Of course." I tell her. "But I don't know where he lives."

Ms. Kim smiled. "His address is written on a piece of paper. It's inside the envelope."

I took this as an initiative to lift the flap and stick my hand in before pulling out the paper she was talking about.

"Thank you." I bow.

I exit the school and I couldn't help but see a beautiful woman wandering around as if she was looking for someone.

I pass by her and she stops me with a gentle hand.

"Excuse me, but do you know where I can find Kim Seokjin?" She asks hopefully, lifting her sunglasses.

I couldn't help but notice her slight resemblance to Seokjin--their wide brown eyes and the way the corner of their lips twitched slightly as they waited for an answer to their question. This woman could very well be his mother, but I can't be too sure.

"He didn't show up to school today." I explain.

She frowned. "How long has he been absent?"

"Last Friday, ma'am." I tell her.

A brief indescribable expression crossed her features before she gave me a warm smile again. "Okay then, thank you."

I know I should've offered to show her where he lives, but I don't even know this woman's history with Seokjin nor do I have the right to just hand out important information. She might just be someone who looks like him.

So I just watch her disappointedly walk away and I go back to my business, trying my best to follow the directions to Seokjin's house.

He's rich, so what should rich houses look like? Do they even look anything like the ones in movies? Would he have any other rich people neighbors? Are they quiet and cute like him too?

Before I know it, I'm standing in front of two ginormous metal gates. Through them, I see a huge fountain sitting in front of a large white house. There's so much white that I think I'm going to go blind.

There were also several patches of grass and grass fences to even out the colors.

I notice the post to which one of the gates were attached to had a button that said "Press to be accommodated", so that's exactly what I did.
