Chapter 8: The Flyer

It was the day after the match against Occult and the day that the soccer club knew who their first opponent was going to be in the tournament. Apparently It was Wild Middle School and they were really good especially in the sky. So the team had to come up with a new hissatsu shot to win the upcoming game.

Luckily there was also good news for them, cause they had a new member named Bobby Shearer.

A couple of days have passed and they found a notebook from Mark's granddad. So now Axel and Jack were working on a new hissatsu. It's called 'The Inazuma Drop', but there was only one problem, Jack is afraid of heights.

So now they are trying everything they can to beat his fear of heights.

"80 centimetres from the ground." Willy said while looking at his measure tape.

"Good start, alright let's go for a meter. Remember you need effort and will power to do this. That's the only way to get over any problem." Mark said to Jack.

"Well, why don't you use that to get better grades?"

"Uuh"

"If we can get the Inazuma drop, we can beat Wild. So we are counting on you, Jack." Nathan said to him.

"That makes it even worse."

"Don't worry about it. If our enemy is strong, we just have to get stronger." Mark assured him.

"I think i have another idea to beat your fear, Jack." I said to him.

"Really?" Mark asked me.

"Yeah, I know this girl on the Cheer Squad. First, she was also afraid of heights, but she overcame her fear and now she is one of the best flyers."

"...The what?" The team looked confused at me as they didn't know what a flyer was.

"Uuh, the person that is being lifted or thrown in a stunt."

"Ohh"

"Well let's go to that girl, maybe she can help Jack." Mark said while dragging Jack out of the clubroom, but then he came back. "Which way do we have to go?"

"Just follow me." I said while walking towards the gym

As we entered the big gym, I saw everyone was busy raining really hard like always. I said to the team they have to wait by the door, while I went to ask the coach if I could borrow Britt for a moment.

"Hello, coach Walker." I greeted her.

"Hm ow, hello Roberts. Long time not seen. Coming back already."

"Not really. I was actually wondering if you could help us?"

"'Us'?"

I gave a glimpse towards the door and she followed my gaze, she understood it.

"I see. Sure, how can I help you guys."

"Well, we want to achieve a new hissatsu move but to accomplish that Jack has to get over his fear of heights. And I know that Britt got over it, so I thought maybe she could help him. So can we borrow her for a moment?"

"...Alright, I will get and inform her."

"Thank you, coach Walker!"

She walked over to where Britt was, while I walked back to the team.

"Good news! She is going to help get Jack over his fears of heights." I said to them.

"That's great! So where is this flyer you were talking about?" Mark said with a big smile.

"I'm right here." A voice said behind Lily. She had black hair that was put in a perfect dot. She's wearing a crop top and skirt with the school colours and emblem on her chest, together with a pair of white sneakers.

"This is Britt, she is going to help us." Lily introduced the girl.

"Nice to meet you." She said to them.

"Nice to meet you too, thank you for helping us!" Mark said to her.

"No problem. I'm glad that I can help you."

The team introduced themselves to and then immediately started.

"Alright, the first and most important thing you have to do is trust your team with your life. If you can't do that we won't get far." Britt said to Jack. "So my question to you is...Do you trust them with your life?"

"Yes, I trust them."

"With your life?"

"Y-yeah with my life."

"He doesn't sound very sure to me." She whispered to me. I gave her a worried look and then looked back at Jack.

"Alright, let's do some exercises together. And together I mean your whole team!" She said while looking at the others that we're just sitting on a bench a bit further watching the three of us.

"Huh?!" They claimed.

A/N: Sorry for not uploading in a long time, but I saw that I didn't give the cheer coach a name in the first chapter, but now she has one. I hope you liked this chapter.
