Dinner with his parents started out awkward. You were probably being paranoid, but you couldn’t help but wonder if they knew you’d been making out upstairs.

You: “Thank you for inviting me to stay, or I guess more like letting me invite myself”
Mama Beck: “Sugar, you are welcome and invited any day you want”
You smiled and Noah reached across and put his hand on your leg under the table as he smiled at you.

Noah’s Dad: “I assume we’ll be seeing more of you now that you’re friends again”
You struggled to read Noah’s dad. He was quiet but always managed to make how he thought and felt known. It kinda seemed like he was skeptical of you being over.
Noah: “Is that okay that my girlfriend spends a lot of time here?”
Mama Beck smiled as she took another bite, but you choked on your glass of water and spit it all over your plate.
A week has passed and you’ve spent every moment with Noah that you weren’t in school. You usually miss lunch because you always go outside so you can eat while facetiming Noah. You’re out of the loop because you’re always rushing to Noah’s right after school. The only updates you get on your friends are a few texts from Indiana and the chats you’ve been able to have with Dixie during science.
This morning your mom lets you take her car to school because you are planning to pick up Noah for his first day back. He still can’t drive because of the head injury, but most everything else has healed. He was incredibly lucky to have only bumps and bruises except for the bash to the top of his head from the rollover.
Before you could pull the keys out of the ignition to go in and help Noah with his things, he was already heading down the steps of his porch carrying his bag. He leaned across the seat and gave you a kiss before you were on your way to school.
At school, you and Noah rejoin everyone at lunch. Everyone is asking him 1001 questions about the accident. He tells everyone about losing control because he tried to take a turn he almost missed and they all hung off his every word. You could tell he was getting overwhelmed being the center of attention and give Indiana a look pleading for help.
She understands immediately and changes the subject and starts asking Blake about a class they have together later that day. Noah remembers he agreed to go to class early to get some work he missed and stands up. Before he leaves, he bends over to kiss you goodbye and everyone is SHOOK.
You immediately get nervous when you see everyone’s reaction and look to Blake who looks the most shocked. It occurs to you that other than the kiss at the party, you hadn’t really told or shown anyone that anything had changed between you and Noah. You had just shut everyone out to spend every moment with Noah, but truthfully you’d implied to Dixie and Indiana that it was more because your families were so close and your family was helping his family. You don’t know why you hid it. Partly because things had gotten so heated between Blake and Noah everytime anything happened between you and either boy and you just wanted peace. You don’t know how to answer so Dixie and Indiana lead you away.
On the way, you spill everything about finding Noah after the accident, laying with him in his room, telling you he loves you, the kiss in his room, spending everyday with him while he recovered, and him calling you his girlfriend in front of his parents.
