The next day you girls go to the mall and you try to take your mind off the night before. Dixie notices you’re distant but you play it off as just tired. Indiana is glued to her phone again, but she usually is so nothing new. She doesn’t look up from her phone in time and runs smack dab into Blake as he comes out of a store also buried in his phone. He’s acting weird but you assume it’s because you and Noah have gotten so much closer and the rest of the guys not being around he doesn’t have to hide that it bothers him.
Blake: “What are you doing here?”

Indiana: “We came to do some shopping and grab lunch at the food court. What are you doing here?”
Blake: “Why don’t I come to the food court with you guys?”
He is pushing and pulling you all towards the food court almost as if he is trying to get us away from the store we are all standing in front of.
You: *pulling away* “Why are you being so weir-”
You stop mid syllable as you see walking out of the shop, Bryce and Addison!! He has his arm around her and they are both laughing when Bryce makes eye contact with Indiana and freezes. Indiana turns to run the opposite direction without a word.

Bryce: *yells after her* “Indiana!!! Wait!!”
Dixie: “Seriously dude? WTF??”
Bryce: “I- I don’t know. I didn’t think she would care…”
You: “If you really believed that then why didn’t you tell her?”
You start to head off in the direction Indy went when Blake stops you and says: “It’s okay, I’ll go”
Blake walked to the end of the mall without seeing any sight of Indiana. He was on his way back towards the food court when he caught a glimpse of her sitting on the ground down an empty hallway that led to the bathrooms.
Blake: “Indiana?”
Indiana: *wiping her tears and trying to hide her face* “I’m fine. That was childish to run away, I’m sorry”

Blake sat on the ground next to her and rested his chin on her shoulder
Indiana: “I don’t even want him. That’s the worst part of it all”
Blake: “You’ve been talking about ending things for weeks so I don’t understand why you’re so worked up?”
Indiana: “You lied to me…”
Blake was confused. Indiana turned towards him as she continued: “You were texting me all morning and you didn’t tell me. I don’t care that they are together… but why didn’t you tell me…”
Blake: *pushing her hair behind her ear and fixing the smear of mascara next to her eye* “You are beyond too good for him, but I needed you to see that yourself Indiana. It would have been wrong to be the one to come between you”
