I took a shower and the next few hours I spent in my room, reading a book (that I forced Jayceono to bring for me) and just slept or ambled around the mansion. When the sun went down, and they day set in, I decided to confront Nina on the whole thing.

I made my way towards Nina's room and found it locked when I arrived at the destination. I knocked on it twice. There was a loud 'thud' and a few whispers before Nina opened the door. Her hair all over the place, lipstick marks on her neck and face. She gave me a fake beaming smile. Her cheeks were the colour of stewed-cherry.

She did not open the door fully and blocked the way when I tried to enter. She asked, trying to sound enthusiastic and ardent, "Wassup, Zee?"

I kept my face straight, "Open the door, I need to talk to you about something." I said as sternly and stringently as possible.

She blocked the way again, "Uh you see," She thought of an excuse, "I'm on my period! And it's like a murder scene in there-" I pushed past her and opened the door.

There was no murder scene, but Kylie on the bed, sitting equally embarrassed and ashamed, her cheeks flushed. I noticed her hair was all over the place too and she was half naked, only in her bra and panties. The baby pink colour lipstick marks on Nina's neck matched Kylie's lips.

I narrowed my eyes and slowly turned around to face Nina, who looked abashed. I looked at Kylie, then Nina again. Understanding me, Nina told Kylie to go outside, who dressed up quickly and made her way outside, casting me a glance.

As soon as she was out, I folded my hands against my chest and faced Nina, who was trying to get her hair in place and removing the lipstick marks using a cloth.

She then closed her eyes and released a big sigh. She turned around to face me and bit her lower lip. She started, "I know this looks really weird-"

I cut her off midway, "Yes, Nina, it does look weird that the person who you described as your arch-nemesis was in your bed half naked." I said rather bitterly.

She looked frightened, "I am so sorry but I have an explanation, and I know I said I hated her, but trust me-"

I interrupted again to get to the point, "So, Nina, when the explosion occurred, you were with me, but when I ran up to the fourth floor, the site of explosion, you suddenly vanished, where did you go?"

She looked here and there before sighing and giving me an apologised look, "Zee, I have always been shit-scared of loud noises, my girlfriend-" she paused, "My ex-girlfriend and I used to have many fights and she even physically hit me many times, and that's not even the thing, I've always been scared of loud noises, like even clubbing is scary for me, so as soon as the explosion occurred, almost immediately I started hyperventilating, I ran back to my room to calm myself down." She justified.

I nodded listening to her, "That is all cool, but I don't think anyone would crave sex right after an explosion occurred, especially with your enemy, isn't it kind of bizarre that first you say you were hyperventilating and the next you are in bed with your adversary?" I asked, bring a hand to my chin.

She shook her head, "When I started hyperventilating and tried to calm myself, it did not work, right then, there was a knock at the door and it was Kylie, she came to say something but before she could utter a word, without even thinking anything, I hugged her. I just needed someone to cling to at that moment and it didn't matter if it was my arch-rival or my homophobic mom who kicked me out of the house, and just being with someone made me calm and my breathing returned to normal. Then we just sat on the bed, her whispering soothing nothings into my ear and slowly I stopped crying. She was the last person I would have expected to make me come back to normal." She explained.
