I woke up with an odd feeling of freedom.

I kissed Diamond yesterday and she ran away. She didn't like me, Russ was wrong. I'm not good at apologizing but I knew I had to.

I didn't need her hating me.

The rest were asleep as I tiptoed out to stand in front of her door.

She was awake, humming a very familiar song I couldn't remember where I heard it.

The rose glowed ...
And they came together....

For they are meant to be
By the great fortune....

I smiled at her melodiously good voice and knocked on the door.

" Come in" she answered.

I entered and she smiled shyly at me.

" Hey"
" Hey Travis" she was blushing.

" I...uh....came to say sorry"

" For what?"

" For kissing you"

She smiled and patted her bed for me to sit down. I sat down and she grinned at me.

" No....I.... actually liked it,I was just shy because I haven't been kissed before"

I mentally slapped and grinned at myself for being her first kiss.

" So you've never had a boyfriend?" I asked.

" What's a boyfriend,is it like Tamina and Fred or Ken and Regina"

I nodded. She's so innocent.

" Then no" she replied shyly.

" Do you love me?" Her question threw me into frenzy.

Say Yes and let her hate me, Say no and let her still hate me???.

" I don't know but I think I do we just met but I feel..........."

" I can't explain what I feel for you mi amor" I replied.

She loves me??. How could that happen. Which kind of girl tells a boy she loves him first. Oh Yeah,the innocent kind.

She was seriously blushing.

" What do you feel for me, Diamond" I needed answers.

" Weird things I can't explain" she replied.

I nodded.

" So we okay now?" She asked.

" Yes we are"

" You gonna be my boyfriend?" She asked.

I laughed,did she even understand what she was saying. Boyfriend??. 

She was staring at me now.

" Two people don't become boyfriend and girlfriend just like that,they have to get to know themselves"

Her face fell.

" so we need to be just friends for now" she stated and I nodded

Russ would kill me for letting this opportunity to slip by. I didn't want her to commit herself into something she didn't even understand.

I won't take advantage of her but the idea of always waking up by her side was enticing. What was wrong with me?.

" Okay Travis, we are friends now" she held out her hand and smiled at me. I smiled as I shook it.

I excused myself and rushed to my room to think things through.

Russ entered . I knew he heard what went on.

" She's naive Russ,she doesn't even know what she's saying,I can't take advantage of that right now"

" I know but you should have agreed to try something out to see of it works"

" She will probably leave me like Myra ,I can't help that"

Myra was my girlfriend back in high school, I was too possessive of her back then because I refused to let her speak with any boy and I kept her by my side always.

She hated that so she left for Spain that year as a pretence exchange student. What if Diamond leaves ,she already came here just for visit,what if I don't see her again.

" I hope you know what you are doing" he said and shut the door.

Do I even know??.
