Sunlight shines through the window and your eyes open slowly, the view coming into focus. The bricks on the wall, the birds flying outside and as you turn over, Derek's bare chest. You feel a smile slowly spread across your lips as you trace your fingers over his abdomen, with memories of the night before clouding your mind. His hands around your neck, the feeling of his tongue against your skin. You look up at him, picturing his face with the euphoric expression from the night before. He slowly opens his eyes and stretches his arms above him, " Good morning." You toss your leg over his body and roll to straddle him, "Good morning." He runs his hands up your back, leaving a trail of goosebumps behind.

Derek gives you one last kiss as you leave his loft, "Don't be late to our meeting tomorrow." He moves his hand from your waist and leans against the door. "Maybe we can have a meeting of our own after." You wink and head down the stairs to your car. As soon as you walk into the Stilinski house, Stiles comes rushing down the stairs. "Where have you been?" You walk past him and make your way up the stairs.

"Aw, did you miss me?" You push open your bedroom door and set your bag down on the bed. "You didn't answer my texts or phone calls, I was going to starting calling hospitals." You chuckle as he lets out a huff and sits on the edge of your bed. "I would never end up in a hospital, you'd have better luck checking ditches." He rolls his eyes and gives you a peck on the cheek, "That was the first place I looked." You swat his arm before he walks out of your room, closing the door behind him.

The next day, you drive to Derek's loft for the pack meeting which was useless in your opinion. As you walk in, you feel your stomach churning and your palms start to sweat. This feeling was new to you, so you straightened out your jacket and took a deep breath. There was nothing to be nervous about, it's not like you're in a room full of werewolves that can sense tension from a mile away. You walk into the loft and immediately, you're greeted by Scott, "Hey! We were going to start without you." He grabs your arm and pulls you towards the group, Derek stands across the table and avoids making eye contact. Your nerves turn into frustration. Was he really going to avoid you? You cross your arms over your chest and look away from him, focusing your attention to Scott. The meeting picks up and everyone is talking over each other, arguing about the plan Scott made. "Derek, what do you think." Scott looks at him, Derek furrows his eyebrows. "You know what I think. We should attack head on." You scoff and shake your head.

"Got something to say?" Derek looks at you for the first time and raises his eyebrows. "When has attacking head on ever worked out well for us? Oh that's right, never!" You notice Stiles shifting uncomfortably next to you, "Scott's plan is laid out practically but you won't admit that because you have to be right all the time." Stiles clears his throat and pulls you into the kitchen.

"What is going on?" He puts his hand on your shoulder but you swat it away. "Nothing. Leave it alone." He backs away and crosses his arms, "You're upset, I can tell. Spill it." You clench your jaw, he knew how to push you buttons and wasn't afraid to do so. "Stiles, I said leave it alone." He scoffs and walks out to join the others. You could feel your heart pounding in your chest, and then suddenly, a hand on your back. You could tell it was Derek.

His hand moves around to your hip and he stands in front of you. He lifts your chin with his finger, "Listen, I'm sorry for the way I was acting. I don't know how to be around you with everyone else." You look up at him while he speaks, watching his lips move with every word. "I don't want to be around you with everyone else." He smirks and leans to whisper in your ear, "Why don't we have our own meeting when they leave?" You feel a shiver move through your spine. "Now, let's go back out there and pretend we hate each other." He winks and runs his thumb across your bottom lip.
