Chapter Twenty-Four

Chase's POV

I waited for Hali in my office as the pack ate. It was starting to get cold and I was starting to get worried. That's when I heard it. The small voice in my head. It was angelic and I knew who it belonged to. Hali was using the link.

"Chase," She called.

"Yes," I answered, I could feel Darion begin to wag his tail happy he didn't mess up the mate bond.

"So you don't happen to know anything about the secret room in the human farm?" She asked.

"No, I was never told anything about that, it's not even in the blue prints."

"Well in that secret room your dad hid someone!"

"Who? What?"

"My brother but he is not in good shape, he needs a doctor!"

"I'm on my way with a car,"

"No, run it will be quicker and you can ride me back, there's to many trees otherwise."

"I'm on my way hang tight," 

I felt the connection not necessarily break but slither back as I ran out the pack house and towards the edge of the territory. I stripped leaving a trail of clothes and jumped over the gates before shifting mid jump. I landed on my big strong paws and they thundered as I ran following the scent trail of my mate. 

"I'm coming Hali," 

Hali's POV

I allowed the connection to falter and turned my attention back to the weak man in front of me. I picked him as he didn't wake after the shaking I had given him. I  carried him carefully out of the farm towards the glass entrance doors. I reached back into the new links that have formed, found the thread that connected to my dear friend and started to talk to Tyler.

"Tyler take the humans to the village, something came up, that okay?"

"Yeah sure see you back at the pack."

I pushed the doors open with my back and came out into the warm sun when Cody began to stir. He was stone cold and I could feel him start to heat up. I placed him carefully on the floor and looked around in the trees. I smiled and grabbed a huge hoodie out of a tree. Walking back to him I put in the hoodie and did it up kissing him on his forehead. I had thought he was dead for over 14 years, but he is alive, I never want to lose him again.

I curled myself up around him and held him tight. He still wasn't stirring and I was worried he wouldn't survive. I heard Chase before I could see him. Well I didn't hear him I heard the thundering paws across the hard ground.

He shifted mid stride and took the boxers out of his mouth an put them on leaving his mouth watering abs on show. I got up and picked up my brother carefully handing him to Chase before shifting. These clothes were amazing. I wanted all my clothes to be made out of this material.

Chase placed him on my back and I lifted up my head so Cody was resting on my neck. Chase grabbed a handful of my main and pulled himself up. He held onto Cody with one hand and my main the other before lightly tapping me in the ribs. I started at a light trot before picking up to a gallop with Chase still steady on my back.

I skidded to a stop and Chase got off of me. I shifted and grabbed my brother away from him before turning to the doctor who had met us at the gate and ran to the small hospital where we were now all stood.

"Get him in and on a bed so I can look at him please luna," He said his face a little pale as Cody was in a extremely bad way.

"Sure doc," I said.
