 Its morning now, the sun is coming up making the whole sky orange, I always like sunrise more than sunsets, me Jiang and Kai are still sitting on that edge, I and Jiang have stayed up all night and Kia is sleeping with her head on my lap while my head on Jiang's shoulders, in comfortable silence, this silence is like the silence after the storm when hearts are still beating fast, where no one knows when it can start again, I told them last night, I told them everything,

Jiang screamed and yelled like expected, even offering to kill the fire lord, he is overprotective kind, and he has always been overprotective of me and Kia, and then there is Kia who cried all night till she fell asleep, she was more scared than me and Jiang was angrier than me, my two main emotions sitting on both sides of me,

Sitting here in comfortable silence is our thing when my mother died I use to come up here and always found these two already waiting for me, they knew I can't sleep, so we use to sat here in comfortable silence all night,

"So what have you decided?" Jiang broke the silence, he was staring at me, I could feel it, but I didn't have it in me to look at him when I said, "I am going to say yes"

"WHAT"? he screamed so loud, making Kia wake up, "What's happening?" she asked rubbing her eyes, "Ryu is saying yes, are you crazy?" He asked, his stare is making me want to run and hide,

"Jiang I have thought about it all night, and my best option is to say yes, I can't run from my duty because I don't want to do it," I said standing up dusting my clothes,

"Ryu you can't just give your life away like this, what about being chief like you wanted to your whole life" he tried reasoning,

"Jiang, trust me, okay, I need to do this, don't you trust me?" I asked looking at him for the first time in the whole conversation, his eyes are red, his hair is a mess, I guess we all are kind of like that right now, a mess,

"Answer me Jiang do you trust me?" "Of course I do Ryu," he said knowing there is no convincing me,

"Then let me do what has to be done, I know what I am doing just support me, will you?" I asked, "Of course we will," Kia said hugging me behind while Jiang was standing in front of me not knowing what he can do to save his best friend,

"Jiang?" I asked, "Of course, anything for you" he smiled at me, you can see him fighting the urge of crying, I pulled him into a hug, he slowly wrapped his arm around me and Kia,

"Everything will be just fine" I whispered, holding on to the little hope I have,

I walked home tired from sitting at one place all night crying, screaming, it's like I am coming back after fighting a war, but the thing is a war is waiting for me here too,

I opened the doors of my house and there sat my whole family sitting in the main sitting area, with lord Zuko and his friends,

"Thank God Ryu you are okay," Grandma said, still sitting in her chair, while uncle stood up and paced toward me, "What is happening?" I asked extremely confused,

"You tell us what's happening, where were you all night?" My uncle screamed trying to look like the man of the house, he has this idea that he has to do this to look all manly,

"With Kia and Jiang" I replied walk past my uncle toward grandma, "What were you doing?" he yelled again, "Why does it matter," I asked,

"You were out all night and I can't even ask you what you were doing, where we were all worried sick"

"Worried about me why?, I have stayed out all night with Kia and Jiang so many times before you were never worried, other than that I told grandma that I have to talk to them so what's the issue here?" I asked,
