"Why do you both look so sleep-deprived?" Katara asked, we are sitting around the breakfast table, "We stayed up talking all night" Zuko answered, he didn't want to tell them about the date, I didn't either, it was between us no one had to know,

"All night must have all lot to talk," Sokka said in the middle of chewing his bread, "We did have to allot to discuss, we have a nation to rule" Zuko replied smiling at me, he put his hand on mine, I smiled back,

"I am so happy to see the unity between you two, this nation needs it," Uncle Iroh said, I took a sip from the glass in front of me, I can't wait to get in my bed again, I can already feel a headache coming,

"So what will this nation look like under the rule of Zuko and Ryu?" Suki asked, "Kind, Fair, and propitious" I replied,

"To Fire lord, Zuko and fire lady Ryu," Katara said raising her glass, everyone followed her,

"Ryu, how's life in the palace going?" Mai asked she didn't talk to me since the pound, now she is suddenly interested in talking to me, "It's good, can't complain" I replied,

"Do you like Queen's Chamber?" She Continued, why is she being sweet all of the sudden, "Yes, it is beautiful"

"There is a rumor going around that a man is staying in there too" she calmly said, she has been here for one day and already participated in rumors,

"Not a rumor" I replied, "So it is true?" She asked little shock, I nodded, "You know that is not allowed"

"I have been aware of that rule but that is an old rule, it's time to leave some of those rules in the past" I shrugged her shock away, "So you just came here and already changing the rules, set by the royals centuries ago"

"What's the problem in letting a friend stay with you, it's not like we are sharing rooms, he is just in the next room, I am close to him, I like to have him around"

"I just think It's not appropriate, what will people think, some man lives in lord Zuko's wife's chamber?" this is it not I am angry, she crossed a line,

"First of all I don't understand why you think it's your place to interfere in my private life, it's my problem who lives in my chamber, other than that let me be the one who worries about peoples opinion don't let that little head of yours carry to much weight"

"I am just worried for Zuko's reputation" everyone is silent, "You don't have to worry about his reputation he has a wife to worry about it"

"She is not doing a good job" how dare she says that, "How dare you, you could be lord Zuko's close friend but I really appreciate if you stayed out of matter's related to our marriage and our kingdom" I snapped back,

"Zuko I just don't understand how you let her act this way" She turned to him, who have been silent all through this, "Have you forgotten who I am, I am your future Queen, you better watch your mouth"

"Yes future queen, but now you are just a tribe girl, who needs to learn the royal way"

"I am still your king's wife" she has some guts messing with me like that,

"That's enough" he yelled, so he finally spoke, "Mai watch your tone you are talking to your queen, crowned or not she is still fire lady, and Ryu I want Jiang moved out"

I can't believe it, we just had the conversation of adding me in decisions, he ordered me, he used his power his title on me, and here I was thinking we are becoming something real, I chuckled.

"Is there something funny?" Mai asked, she is smiling at me, clearly she won, she was just trying to show me my place, I stood up, "No, you wouldn't understand"
