Chapter Five

The Blue Room

Elvira
———♥︎———

(To my readers who viewed this before I edited: this is where things start to change majorly)

Blue.

That was the color that my eyes noticed upon first opening. Blue symbolizes reliably, it allows the mind to relax. While it was a change from the blood filled concrete room it was far from relaxing.

     It was absolutely suffocating.

The floor was marble. The room surrounded in lavish furniture that without a doubt cost more than my car. In the center to the back wall was where I laid. In a canopy bed with blue shear sheets hanging down.

Perhaps if my circumstances were different I wouldn't have minded waking up in this room. My circumstances were not different. I had woken in a strange room with no idea where I was.

Two doors. Two windows. The only escape routes I could see.

I willed my body to leave the bed regardless of the pain I felt throughout my body. It was like leg day at the gym for the first time. Except everything hurt.

I moved to the windows and tried to open them, nearly slipping on the marble floor in the socks I was wearing. New socks.

Without any luck neither of the windows budged. Each were either nailed down or sealed shut. Either way it wouldn't have been a smart way to try and leave out of. I was three stories from the ground.

Walls taller than the trees in the courtyard surrounded the house. I couldn't see over them so they were without a doubt much taller than they looked to be.

I tried the door next, though unfortunately it didn't budge. So I went with the second door, this one exposing a lavish bathroom. It put my small bathroom from home to shame.

Don't get me wrong I was grateful for my apartment back home. However nothing in my apartment was as nice as this room and bathroom were. I was never a materialistic woman.

That's when I saw her. The long black hair and brown eyes staring back at me.

I walked closer to the mirror and felt along my face. At first I didn't even recognize myself. My eyes were sunken in, and I looked a bit paler than usual.

Littered along my body were cuts and bruises. I had stitches along my hip from god knows what injury. My body was barely covered in a silk night set. A silk tank top and matching shorts.

Really if it was up to me I would be dressed in a hoodie or sweats to hide the ugly mess of bruises on my skin. I looked like I had tried to paint with a toddlers capabilities.

"Micetta," I looked behind me through the mirror. There stood the man with the stubble. He was leaning against the doorframe, his left leg crossed over his right as he did so.
(Kitten)

The sun hit his body perfectly. It illuminated his face, even though from where he was standing he looked rather blurry. It didn't take contacts to let me know he was gorgeous.

"The doctor said you should take it easy, you don't know the extent of your injuries just yet. You could hurt yourself moving around as much as you have been." His head tilted as he studied me, eyes searching my body.

"Who are you?" My voice was steady, not a slight indication of weakness. I wasn't scared of a man who had given me warm socks and clean clothes. Perhaps it was all a misunderstanding.

A misunderstanding? Don't be foolish Elvira.

"Do you really not know who I am?" He came closer to me. Though his steps were cautious.

"Would I really ask you who you were if I did?" He only laughed at my remark. Though just as quickly as his laugh started it ended.

When he came within five feet of me I grabbed the toothbrush from the sink and turned my body to face his. His eyes traveled to my hands and then back up to my face with an amused smile. "Do you really think that will hurt me?"

With one quick motion I snapped the head of the toothbrush off. Giving me a sharp and Jagged tip. "I've spent time in prison before. I know how to make a shank."

"You act like you're a touch criminal Elvira. We both know you were in prison for assaulting a lawyer." I wasn't sure how he knew that. Even if he checked my records the charges were dropped after I spent overnight in jail. I didn't even learn the toothbrush trick in jail. I learned it at summer camp.

"Who are you?" I repeated the question. This time I held the toothbrush out towards him so he would know I wasn't joking. I would shank him. "I will hurt you. Do not think for one second that I won't."

With one swift movement he had my hand and turned me around. My hand was now holding the toothbrush to my neck with his hand forcing it there. My other arm was pressed against my back. "Who are you going to hurt Micetta? As far as I'm concerned you're the one in danger here. Not me." He snaked his arm around my waist and held my close. "You are at my mercy Angelo. Just because I haven't hurt you yet does not mean I won't."
(Micetta / Kitten . Angelo / Angel )
