About two hours had passed and I was awoken by a slight movement beside me. I slightly opened my eyes to see Dylan next to me. His arms were around me. Oh my God.

Without hesitation I sat up, causing him to jump a little.

"Elissa? What's wrong?" He asked confused yet tired at the same time.

"Oh. N-nothing" I said, stuttering. I breathed a sigh of relief, remembering what had happened earlier. Or should I say what didn't happen. I looked around and found the envelope fairly creased.

"Ergh, damn" I muttered while picking it up. By now Dylan had adjusted to the daylight. He sat up and leaned back.

"That must be something important." He said looking up at me, curious.

"It is." I replied frankly. "It's from my stepmom. She gave it to me, before she passed away."

He looked at me confused.

"After my mother died, I was brought up by my step mom Joanne...and jack". I hesitated before saying Jack, since I couldn't stand that jerk. Wow I feel relieved I've been wanting to say that since...forever. He was so horrible, not just to me but to my stepmom. I never understood why he was so mean. I didn't know why Joanne married him in the first place.

"Since then, I was living with them. A few months before she died, she gave me this. She told me to 'open it when I felt it was the right time'. To this day, I still haven't opened it. I have no idea when the 'right time' will be" I said quoting 'right time'.

It went silent for a while. It couldn't have got any more awkward. I looked at him, hoping he would respond any time soon.

He had his arms folded, and was staring into space. Sooner or later he caught me looking at him.

"What? Don't look at me. I don't know when the right time is either." He smirked.

"Whatever" I said putting the letter on the table. I swung my legs off the bed and stood up to stretch.

"Hey, where do you think your going?" Dylan asked from behind. I turned around and saw him getting up from the bed.

"Out. Not like it's any of your business..."

"But I'm not done talking" he said sarcastically. I folded my arms and waited.

"Okay, then go ahead I'm all ears."

"Nah, it doesn't matter" he replied.

"Okay then suit yourself." I said as I turned around and walked to the door.

"We're cool though...right?" He asked. I stopped and turned around, and eyed him suspiciously.

"If by cool you mean friends...I think not."

"Wait what? Why?" He asked, dumbfounded by my unexpected response. "I even apologised!"

"How can I be friends with someone I don't even know, let alone living with strangers. I've only been here for what three freaking days, you can't expect me to be your Best friend forever"

He raised an eyebrow, while walking towards me.

"Well, I guess we are going to have to learn more about each other then aren't we?" He grinned, folding his arms. I couldn't help but smiles bit.

"I'm going now..." I said pointing at the door, trying to change the subject. He just nodded. I walked up to the door and opened it. Before I left I couldn't help but feeling a bit bad. After all he was there for me from the moment we saw each other.  I turned around and studied hi

"I accept your apology." I said. He smirked as i turned around to leave.
