Hey lovelies, Lena here!!!

Wow, it's been quite a while since I've last updated. I've gone for an entire month and really said I was gonna update every three days 😭

I honestly just want to apologise for not updating in so long. I can't explain how awful I felt about not writing a new chapter for you guys, so I'm gonna explain why I ✨disappeared✨

1. As you may know, I cannot manage my time to save my life. I get a lot of schoolwork each day, sure, but I should be able to finish before 12 am, which I never do 💔

2. On top of regular schoolwork, I am also studying for the SAT. For those of you that don't know what that is, it's basically a super important test I need to ace if I want to go to my dream college. The test is in less than a month (on my birthday, I might add) and to say I'm stressed out would be an understatement 😃

3. It's really hard for me to find a solid time with no interruptions to write. Especially because no one in my family knows I have Wattpad, let alone write on it, they'll barge into my room no problem and I'd always have to exit out of all my tabs :/

4. Honestly, this 4th reason is mostly why I haven't updated the next chapter. So I've already written a good bit for Chapter 33, it's just... I was extremely worried about posting it. I know exactly what I want to happen and I'm quite happy with my idea. But... I wasn't sure if you all will like it. And as much as I don't want to admit it, other's opinions mean a lot to me haha. Perhaps I'm simply overthinking it but really, every time I try to continue writing the next chapter, I always freeze up. Then I would end up really stressed because I would question why I was writing in the first place if no one was going to like it

Sooo, I finally decided to at least try to be confident in my book and my *nonexistent* writing abilities. If I write with the sole purpose of pleasing everyone that reads my book, I'd be too busy trying to impress and won't be able to enjoy writing at all, ya know?

I truly do love this book and am generally proud of it. It's one of my best accomplishments that I'm so happy to call my own. So imma do me a favour and write the way I want to. Hope you guys can understand that :)

Okay, enough with the mushy part. I noticed "Red" has gotten to 18.4 thousand reads and 600 votes!! Like I did not expect this to get over 2k reads, max! You all don't understand how much this means to me! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for giving this story a chance and still sticking with me even when I literally vanished for a month 😤💞

I promise after I finish studying for the SAT I will be back on here with loads of new chapters! There are still so many things I've got planned that I can't wait to write! (If I don't keep that promise, feel free to call me out on it 😌
