Friday December 4th.

"I thought you'd be gone to the circuit by now." Chloe murmured awkwardly as she pushed the door shut with her behind.

"No, I was waiting for you." He looked at her from where he was sitting on the sofa, pressing his fingertips together in front of him. She looked just like he felt, exhausted. "Where's Luis?"

"With Heikki. Did you get my flight booked?" She asked coldly.

He pointed to the iPad on the table in front of him.

Wanting to rub her eyes because they felt so heavy, she walked over to pick up the iPad and unlocked the screen. There was the confirmation she was expecting for a flight to Zürich. He really wanted her to go, it was an upsetting and painful thought.

"You should have a confirmation email and your tickets have been emailed too." He said, his voice deeper than usual, laced with tiredness and sadness.

"Thanks." She put the iPad down and went straight to the bedroom. It wasn't long before he appeared in the doorway.

"You'll be there when I come home, won't you?" He asked worriedly.

"I don't know." She answered honestly. She really didn't know. Her first instinct was to go to back home, to her home, but at the same time she was scared of leaving him in case she never got him back.

He swallowed, he couldn't let her go without knowing that he'd still have her to return home to. "I know we both said some awful things last night...."

"At least we both know what each other is thinking now, don't we." She muttered bitterly.

He walked into the room as she started to empty the wardrobe. He had to know that she'd be there waiting for him. "Please, just wait for me to come home before you do anything else. If you go back to Southampton then you probably won't get back to Switzerland for Christmas."

"I can't even think about Christmas right now."

"It'll be Luis' first one, don't make him spend it without both of us together."

"You're the one who wants me to go, you were the one who told me to fuck off back to the UK." She shot back abrasively, still stinging from his words.

"I know and that was a mistake, that was too harsh of me and for that I'm sorry."

She said nothing else as she literally dropped her clothing into the case before starting to empty a draw of her underwear.

Knowing that they'd really hurt each other last night and being scared of losing her, he spoke again, this time in a softer tone, "I will prove it to you, you know. I'll prove to you that I've not been unfaithful and that you can trust me."

"I want to trust you, you know that and I'm sorry that I don't. I'm sorry that I'm not the wife you want me to be or deserve." She uttered miserably, feeling like a total failure.

"Liebe...." He stepped closer to her. "You are the wife I want you to be, you're that and so much more." He stepped closer to her, itching to hold her. Watching as her case got fuller he knew he couldn't let her leave. "Don't go, let's try and sort this out."

"You wanted me to leave. I'm going." She retorted stubbornly even though she didn't want to leave either. "Like I said last night, I can't deal with anymore right now. I'm sick of fucking Viviana."

"Please, I'm sorry for how I reacted last night and the things I said, please stay." He pleaded. "For me."

She thought about, she did want to stay but she didn't want anymore arguments and she didn't want to hear another word about Viviana. Going home was for the best, for both of them. "I think it's best that I go."
