Like I said, if the chapter doesn't go with a song, then I suck at chapter titles.

But finally, I have a longer, real, plot-filled chapter for you guys! Enjoy!

~One week later~ (feel free to start a thread)

Today, I have been officially discharged from being cooped up in my tent and can get back to work. My arm feels a lot better since my wound is healing nicely, but it is still a little sore.

I was informed by Alex yesterday that Washington wants to meet with me as soon as possible—more about the battle plans mentioned to me the day I got injured.

As I walked out of the tent after getting suited up, I ran into an all-too-familiar face.

"Hercules!!!"

I ran over to him and hugged him after he set his stuff down once he heard me.

"Heyyyyy, Sunshine!" He used the nickname he gave me a while ago after he told me I always 'brighten up his day.'

He hugged me back tightly and lifted me up a little since he's a good bit taller than me. They all are...

"Ah-" I winced and inhaled sharply. "Easy on the shoulder."

He set me down and furrowed his eyebrows. "Uh, what do you mean? What happened?"

"Haha, well, funny story," I laughed nervously.

"Oh yeah? Please tell me this hilarious story where you got hurt," he said bluntly.

"Uhh... a cat attacked me from behind. Funny, see?" I said quickly.

He looked confused and opened his mouth to say something, but he closed it once he realized he's got nothing.

When he opened it again, he mumbled, "There're cats here? Never seen one..."

I laughed. "Oh, you know what?" I changed the subject. "I'm supposed to be in a meeting with Washington right now. I gotta go. I'll tell you about it some other time."

I started walking away when I turned around and walked backward. "Also," I pointed my finger at him, "you need to meet with him sometime today, too. So bye." I waved and ran off.

Super speed.

Zzeeeeeoooooooeeerrrrmmmmppppp.

I got weird looks from other soldiers but frick it. Lemme do what I wish, people.

I stopped at the general's tent and contemplated "knocking" just to see what would happen—what sound it would make, if he would hear it or not, etc., because that's the shiz that goes on in my head.

Anyone else ever think of The General car insurance whenever they read his title? I've even seen a TikTok on it once...

And you know what? I DID, because FrIcK iT. Freaking YOLO. Sjenjdkw2kNCbhytsbdjJd6ndndb.

*Explodes into confetti bc I'm getting too hyped writing this, and I wished you could hear me narrate this bc I'd be screaming those last parts and throwing things across my room*

And yes, I do regularly think in a series of letters that don't form words.

K back to ze story.

*knock knock knock*

Well, maybe it sounded more like-

*Almost inaudible tapping*
